  1. Maybe you should lower the price mate, quick search on Nengun has them for under $200 AUD new http://www.nengun.com/apexi/exhaust-control-valve There are alot of sites on the net where they are under 200 new. But there are also others offering it for 370 new.... http://www.modyourcar.com.au/apexi-exhaust...--id-80mm-p5443 either way they come with everything you need tho. gl with it mate. Adam
  2. Yeh the second pic is the solenoid, but it is missing the nipple things that you attach the hoses to->they are probably attached to the boost-tee, there are 3 holes on that solenoid, but you only use 2, reason for it is it depends if you have an internal or externally gated turbo, ie. if you have internal its 1 and 2 and external is like 1 and 3? cant remember exactly, but im sure each manufacturer is different. It may have just been left there as it is faulty, or they didn't know how to hook it up properly. also, your 3rd pic isnt working.
  3. My advice is not to ever let the first mechanic look or touch your car again, never leave it there overnight or let them "fix" their first job.... Just get your cash back if you can, fight them, if you still cant then don't be too upset, your car is still driving after being butchered. Find a reputable mechanic in Sydney to have a look at it. 4. you should only be replacing the hubs on the rears + calipers, so shouldn't be any issues.
  5. looken good mate! how'd u go with the dyno??
  6. Hey guys, I have some wheels I want to get rid of. The first set is made by Mak Performance, They are in really good nick and are 17" by (I'm pretty sure) 7.5 or 8 inch all round. They come with some decent 235/45/17's left on them, about 60-70% left. I have no use for them anymore as I finally bought myself a set of S1 Meisters These though are pretty close weight wise, if people don't know - Meisters are known to be lightweight. 2 have some small amount of gutter rash on them, other 2 are fine, I can organize to fix up the 2 if wanted. Link to a Canadian site (click on S5) -> http://www.makwheelscanada.com/main.html Link to their home site, these are very similar except 6 spoked -> http://www.makwheels.it/IMP000000065f.asp These were from the bushfire show and shine: This shows the offset (sorta) - I don't know it off the top of my head but I can check the wheels if people want This is the worst gutter rash Tread I'm asking $600 ONO, which considering the tyres cost me that much, the wheels are free! I also have a set of standard Gtst wheels with about 70-80% tread left on them, they are at my parent's, so I can't remember much about them. Welcome to inspect Really good condition $250 Also, I have a set of standard Gts (4 stud) wheels with roadworthy tyres, again, these are at my parents place. Welcome to inspect Really good condition $150 Finally, to suit the Gts wheels, I have a set of 4 just below roadworthy tyres that would be good for drifting for free! Feel free to contact me on 0419110110. I am open to swaps for things of interest. Adam
  7. 2 things... in regards to your other post where you said " Technically what he's doing may not be illegal if its in a 100kmh zone." he admits to doing it in a backstreet so yes its going to be illegal. secondly, apparently there are laws for acceleration - my mate has an s2000, was pulled over on the freeway of all places, nothing was wrong with the car, so the officer said fine and they both got ready to head of, he took of fast - as the dumbass cop pulled him over at the end of a bend and he couldnt see around it, so to be safe and not slow anyone down he tried to get up to speed... 15 seconds later the cop pulls him over again and fines him for accelerating too fast..... I know I don't fang out of booze bus's up to 60....
  8. Pretty sure max standard injectors get up to is about ~220kw+ dont forget it is an external gate turbo, so you will also need a new manifold and the external gate, and this may not suit the dump pipe u've got, so then you may have to customise/replace the dump/front pipe too... your also probably going to have issues with the afm, so you may need to replace the standard one with a z32 (from a 300zx) add that ontop of the fuel pump.... plus if you get the power up, u may find ur heavy duty clutch wont do the job anymore and that will need an upgrade.... isn't moddifying fun! .....and a bloody headache!
  9. lol... it appears there is a considerable amount of traction loss - couldn't imagine why
  10. great read mate, well done. What I liked most was the thinking/planning ahead... just for simple things like incase there were probs in the future with the wiring, so you warmed the car up first while everything was out....
  11. that probably is best i have seen too, not sure about the exhausts in the middle tho, can I ask though, why is this 1 AU$11,825,140 and a new GTR is ~130-150k? (I dont have extra language packs installed on my comp so if there was more details on the page i didnt see them... ) ... meyb the rims made of unobtainium?
  12. +1 for using 666dan's bulbs.... autobarn have something similar... but dan's are better... I have tried both, especially as u find some become very spotty and directional, whereas these u can marginally alter the direction of the led's to make them more fluent.
  13. Don't quote me on this but im pretty sure series 1's didnt have air bags... I don't.
  14. its...ok...definitely wouldn't say best I have seen, and because you said that I was pretty crucial on it... in the pic of the interior... in the bottom right hand corner can see a large rip in one of the stitchings of the seat... so im guessing its not leather, its one of those cheap pleather sets you can get for about 400-500, and the yellow dash... i did mine in argon silver.... costs you about 30 bucks to do it yourself.. Also, the pic taken at the front of the car, headlights are dull and faded look like theres moisture in there, the funny looking indicator thing looks stuck on, not sitting flush, and theres a scuff on the bottom driver's side of the front bar. apart from that and the wheels, is ok, perlesent spray job makes it look pretty clean. Not my cup of tea, but I can see why would appeal to 17 year olds. IMO, this is one of the cleanest, best looking (with power to match) skylines I have ever seen, sold a couple of years ago for like a quarter of what it was worth. (btw my interior is almost identical without the aftermarket seats and extra gauges where the cigi lighter is - so its not hard to make it look clean for cheap by yourself) http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/St...l&hl=XZLA.8 Adam
  15. Actually... while reading this thread and having a great laugh... I do have some useful info about the Gen I and Gen II Gizzmo MS-IBC's From what Trent has told me, the Gen I (silver with green screen) had issues holding boost and other probs..... the Gen II (in the pic below)however is completely fixed up, does the job really well. Got mine from Autobarn as I work there(Like 1 shift a month- mainly for part discounts )... so cost me the same as on modyourcar.com ...I think it is. My car has the N/A compression with the turbo, so it already is a little more responsive then turbo cars, I had a bleed valve on and this increased boost response by another 500-700rpmish... something like that.... So I would recommend it. Btw... My gf made me wax my chest one time... you wouldn't be asking that question if its been done to you before.... and after 3 weeks looks like a women's..
  16. Gizzmo ms-ibc gen II. holds boost fine, reasonable price.
  17. YOUR DOING IT DOWN A BACKSTREET... thats whats wrong... and ur mates little stopwatch isn't cutting it according to ur liking... Go to a drag strip ya tight arse... *EDIT* I appologise, ur a new member obviously. For your info, Skylines Australia does not condone any type of illegal activity on the roads... drag strip/skid pan/drift/track day is a different story... Im sure this thread will be locked as it involves you asking questions about illegal behavior... perhaps editing the first post might be an idea.. As for your issue... what tyres are you running? that would be the first problem... traction getting the power from your engine to the ground... they make a big difference. you've said you have a heavy duty clutch so that shouldnt be the issue then.... honestly though, take it to a strip with some decent rubber, learn how to launch properly and im sure u'll be happier then doing dangerous stuff on the road... even if its a side street.
  18. that looks good... photoshop ftw... but would have to be bigger for a big poster size to be blown up without being blurry
