cheers mate, ur car has sprung up looking the goods! interior took me 5 days, 9 layers, 4 different spray cans... but its pretty scratch proof now, which is what I really wanted. and the engine looks nice because this was at a show and shine so gave it a clean before I came btw, to clean up and polish all the metal bits in ur engine bay to finish of the rest of the good looks, I use this stuff... out of interest, not that it is much consolation for sau members, the bloke that said he met the guy face to face and r31Nismoid said to pm him the details, I assume the details will be passed onto the police? what do the cops do from there? do they say they will get round to it in a few weeks and then the guy leaves town for a bit avoiding them? or whats the sort of process is there after a trade goes wrong? so far I have been lucky, but would like to know incase... there are things you can do to lower compression, easier things like a thicker head gasket so that the head is raised a little more... when your dad said shim it out, was that the top of the pistons or what part of the motor? I believe.... the na's have a bit of a domed top of the piston whereas turbo ones are flat? correct me if im wrong.... personally I havent done any of that yet and still not had issues, im now looking into a larger turbo when the funds are available and then forging the engine, hopefully with pistons/rods etc suitable for a gtst that I can put into my engine so I can lower the compression a little and forge the engine at the same time... for now though, IMO, i don't think its neccessary for you to lower compression just yet, once you have all the supporting mods and aiming a fair distance past the 250-270kw+ mark, then probably get into it...

Yeh, I can say, as one of the people who's thought about what you're wanting to do, and doing it, I'm really happy with the way things turned out now its just the wanting of more and more power. However, I preferred to use my current block as I knew the history of it, knew how she ran and still haven't had any problems... I have done most of the work myself, the only thing that was a pain was getting the oil feed/return lines done. Adam

ext gate = easy to tell illegal... not that my setup isn't now... but I guess somewhat easier to hide with my custom heatsheild. Not to say I havent thought about it in the future.... ive been looking at int gate gt3076r's, but i've been in a skyline with an ext gate 300rwkw Trust Td06-20g and it is insane! and similar price... so both are an option cheers mate

Thanks mate, i am the same as u, was never really going to use it again... so just wanted to try something cheap and effective that i didnt care if i killed, after a min or so the metal got hot and weaker and then after a couple of mins i had a perfect hole and still a very usable cheap hole saw set if i ever needed. Are you talking to me? if so, even though some of us have chats in this thread, pm me instead to keep this one tidier... but if your asking... they go well, but having a lil wastegate creep issues atm.... ie the boost is set to 15psi but leaks up to 17.x Psi, probably due to a larger amount of exhuast gases due to n/a high compression then standard gtst... looking at possibly going a bigger turbo in the future to stop this issue. Unfortunetly I don't know what your car is... so can't say how it may go on it... Adam

Try telling people the km's, mods if any, why you think its rare, history, age, etc etc.. the list could go on.... maybe even a price if you want to be clever... you know, first time I did it, gave it the lightest spray of oil after cleaning it, put it on the car after letting it dry for about an hour, no dripping, no worries... leave it overnight, go check in the morning... All this crappy red oil sitting under it... so i take it off.. clean it again and spray even lighter... same process, no oil the next morn underneath it...thought great! It STILL caused problems with idle/tuning.... took it off and put a drift pod on... no issues... but i know not everyone has these problems and it started after putting the boost up on my car, but when it was n/a there were no problems.

will people learn their lesson tho.... i mean it will probably sting for a while ....but it fades
