Full Forged Motor - Drag/street Set Up
WYTSKY replied to OS30GK's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
very weird... clearly you have stated the price you believe is fair and for a built monster motor like that you are correct.. guess velocity will have to get more then the change in his ashtray to get some decent parts. GL with it! -

Licence Suspended - Busted Driving On Suspended Licence.
WYTSKY replied to r32gtrv-spec's topic in Victoria
are you allowed to drive to and from work with no license??? clearly some planning or smarter thinking would have helped you out of this, atleast you admitted that you may speed again, but then obvesouly you need to abide by their rules. as you havent I guess your going to get the brunt of it. -
also, There may be a place in Ringwood? if your looking around that area...

clearly because we drive skylines our shafts have already been extended

Interesting Dyno Test On New Hypergear Turbo.
WYTSKY replied to STATUS's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yep, but dont be disheartend by my results, i had the discussion about it because the kw seemed a bit low, but from what Sam and I have come up with, a slight missfire (that was getting worse) and the fact that his dyno had a stuffed weather machine meant it could not correct my results on a 32 degree day are pretty much the answer because the car feels great now, but according to my previous graph I had 230rwkw and now only 215rwkw... I will post up my new results after I have time to fix up the missfire issue and Sam sorts out his dyno. btw, on my previous tune ( that I know for a fact was less powerful then my current one just by the feel) I had 230rwkw and around 640-650nm of torque. -
is it causing your car any damage? is the car running weird? if not, dont worry about it.

LOL is that why you have that avatar!? if it is that worked so perfectly!

I already know all the points you have made, but read everyones posts in this thread.

honestly, I rekon you have great self control, I dont know how I would have handled that, and I certainly would not have come up with such a cool line you did the right thing not being physical with them, but I rekon a bit of a smack is exactly what they needed to get them into line and think twice before saying racial comments and causing damage to property and attempting to harm others. atleast it wouldnt have ended with another stranger giving them a stabbing, just a blue eye and a well learnt lesson. doesnt matter though, good work mate!

Hehe, good to know there are others out there that like to help people. If any1 wanted to do a SAU gym training day i'd be in! Adam

agree with everything you said mate, well spotted with everything you said. I was at recreation before it was "cool" im sure alot of people say that, but i have seen alot of trainers come and go over the years and the new bunch that have come in are as you pointed out, thin, weak, dont know a bar bell from a dumb bell, are complete arrogant w*nkers and WORST of all, what i HATE the most is they dont help people clearly in need of some advice! I have gone off at a few of these guys as I have stopped what I was doing to help a poor 70 year old lady trying to use the leg machine because her doctor advised her she needs to increase leg strength and cant even release the lock on the machine. I have run to people's aids while they are struggling to do a bench press and these "trainers" are standing around talking. so your not wrong with anything you have said, the only thing is I dont like is comparing weight gains vs time, I prefer strength gains vs weight (power to weight ratio). but it is point of preference. IMO growing 10kgs in 20 weeks is fantastic, but unless you do a couple of back to back fat tests, low fluid tests(to show its not just alot of water), etc, to show you have gained bascily only muscle, not just muscle + fat + other crap. I dont count that as single way to measure weight lifting progress, because how much has the strength increased over that period of time? therefore I believe something along the lines of : 10 reps of 3 sets of bench at 70kg and body weight at 60kg, then a few weeks later your at 10 reps of 3 sets of bench at 80kg and body weight at 62kg. etc... but then again, I think its because I only weigh 65kg atm, and am 5 foot 4 and do almost all of my weights at about my own body weight or alot over. gl with your training bud! I have always been interested in doing it because I like going over to people and helping them or giving them advice how to improve their technique. but to answer your question, no, I am not, I have simply been body building for the past 8 years at re-creation armadale, i started there at the age of 13 because I was always fasinated about muscle growth, my dad and I had to fight them to let me go there in my early years Because of this I have spent alot of time talking to ex mr olympia's/professional body builders/etc to get inspirations and ideas. im a small bloke, found it hard to put on muscle, but over the past 4 years when I got serious about it(3-4 times religiously, always have 6th or 7th week off for pure recovery), I have steadily gained about 20kgs of pure muscle while keeping a general fat percentage of somewhere between 5-8% overall, depending on uni and keept the weight on. you may know a bit more then me about supplements as I tried them and didnt see any results and decided a healthy diet was a better option, but once again, everyone is different. the reason I base my results of creatine's water weight is because a mate of mine wanted to get big real quick, used creatine, even drank all the water required each day, put on a mass of weight in a matter of weeks, got injured in footy, took 10 days off, came back almost 4kgs lighter and weaker... I regularly have a week off as mentioned above, and normally come back heavier ( about .4- 1kgs heavier) due to the muscle fully recovering instead of still being half broken down from the previous training, so you can go harder and build, etc etc.. So I like helping others that want to help themselves finally.. I believe we got onto this topic because one bloke in a post above was comparing weight gains vs time Adam

super sets, pyramid sets, compounds, isolations, circuits, low rep, high sets, visa versa, bulking, cutting, the list can go on, but emsta, I didnt think you were after that? thought you were thinking about PTing? or are you trying to get the bod first to show you know what your doing? if you are, dont take only one person's advice on here, everyone is different as im sure you know and everyone will react differently to various techniques and diets. people making HUGE amounts of weight gains in short amount of times will more likely be larger blokes to begin with, who find it easy to put on bulk, but also easy to put on fat, regardless if fat is 1/2 the weight of muscle or whatever the ratio is. Also, explosive weight gains of muscle can be achieved by "scaring/tricking" the body and completly changing around routines, exersises and regimes. it can also be obtained using supplements such as createn, protien, but I wouldnt reccommend createn as it basiclly sucks the water out of your organs and puts it into your muscles, so you have to drink i think about double the normal amount of water your meant to...12 glasses? also, that can contribute to a large amount of weight gain as it is water weight, if someone is using it, then gets sick for a few weeks, they will come back quite a few kgs lighter Also, people who just begin weight training find it the easiest to put on bulk as their body is not used to it, which normally starts slowing down after about 3 months. 2kg extra on you may look more then 8kg on a large bloke. also, if you want to bulk, cut out or cut down almost all of your cardio for a time. finally, mass eating is fine, but of the right food as already mentioned, or a controlled intake of foods is a better option and a sure way to the results you aim for as there is almost more importance in the food you eat and how well you recover, compared to the excersises you perform at gym. happy to talk with you further over the phone if this is what your aiming for. PM me. Gl with it! Adam

Thanks for the help guys, the other dyno sheet is much appreciated, and thanks for the support dori, i'll gap my plugs on the weekend from standard NGK copper sizes, probably down to about .6-.7, see if that sorts it out, check hoses, normal things. also, now running smurf blood ie. martini, semi synthetic, instead of my usual motul 10 40. I know changing oils can affect smoothness of the engine, but the cars been tuned when it had motul, changing oils wouldnt contribute to the missfire would it?
-
it is, and in principle your right, but as others have said, and I believe as well, that it should have alot more power at 15psi then 215kw, and it hasent been detonating, just a little missfire. secondly, keymaker, I do wish it i was recording it in awkw, but no, it is in rwkw unfortunetly.
-
yep, definetly feel that rush, but there is still alot more low-mid range because of Sam. I know you guys say not to aim for a certain kw amount, but I would have thought this setup would be at a minimium of around 240kw, not 215kw. and raz, I know others have made alot more power, I have no idea why its at this low level, but its not as if i havent put money into the mods,so I cant think of what would be restricting it except for a little missfire? Adam
-
i cant remember on the stock one, 300-400nm? and I guess Sam didnt put the torque figures on this sheet, but on a the dyno we did previously to this tune (about 3 months before) when there was less power downlow but overall pretty much same uptop, it had 640nm@130kph, now it feels like more again, but obveously cant tell until perhaps another dyno run. and the only difference in these 3 months is a new metal cat and fixed a small exhaust leak. so that would explain why it feels like it pulls much harder no?
-
you may be right mate, thing is, I dont mean to say it like im cocky, but it feels like its got alot more then 215kw... considering my car was doing a smidge under 200kw with the standard turbo, compared to that, this thing has a ton more kahonies, but I couldnt explain the low kw results.
-
damn... but you guys are using the better stuff i guess in terms of the actuator, we changed the one that was one there (7-12psi) because it wasent holding.. to a 14-20ish psi one but used the the bleed valve for the extra 1-2psi. I understand why your saying that nytsky, and you probably are right, I dont want to get into an arguement about should have spent 1600-2000 instead of 850. I also did think it was quite low, but before I get fried, ponder this before responding: I would have saved up the money, however the stock turbo I put on the car blew after about 9 months ( oil seals). Im a student, its hard to save and takes time, I could find standard turbos out there for ~350, but then they could just root on me in another 6 months, after all, they are about 14 years old. so I could not have a car for 2 months and save or buy something from new that would atleast get me going (without blowing straight off- eg ebay crap) and MAY be desent to make power...im still happier with my choice then using Melb's shitty public transport system.
