  1. Thats the bearing, installed, the bearing is about the size of those mini coke cans you get on airplanes. No trouble installing it, I didnt watch them to see if it was pressed or a tapered thingo.
  2. My process is generally: Spanner goes onto nipple, pedal pusher pushes pedal down a little, fluid goes onto ground, nipple closed, repeat. Dont push the pedal far, no further then you would even under heavy braking. The M/C seals dont like being pushed where they have never been, reaction pad or whatever its called might be damaged. Keep fluid levels up.
  3. Had mine done recently, apparently they are not the same as S13. Called local bearing place who put me onto a supplier that deals with Nissan parts in Australia. Apparently I ordered the only Cefiro wheel bearing so far in 2004 from this mob, Ill try to dig up the number. Was $140 odd installed, left front.
  4. True it doesnt write the new settings to the ECU, but couldnt the PDA software just remember them and re-apply the settings everytime it starts up?
  5. Did you even look at the car before you bought it? I cant see how you couldnt notice those things.
  6. Im keen mate, let me know when its out and I'll come down for a geez.
  7. New, higher strength slightly longer studs are about $2 each.
  8. Just got the spacer, 3mm is nothing to worry about. Plus a spacer doesnt result in permanent change to anything.
  9. Isnt it completly normal for the revs to increase slightly when the brake pedal is pressed?
  10. Getting old steve! The laurel looks great, so does the Cef with the Watanabes.
  11. Not sure if Northwest is the same shop on Newlands road I visited but their are some great ones on that strip anyway.
  12. I thought CIG Locker was the accepted term!
  13. As far as I know, done properly with heat etc, it is possible to reshape the guard while keeping the paint intact.
  14. What kind of girly arc is rated at 44 amps?
  15. Ive heard stories of paint seperation later on, plus you will notice that the wheel arch isnt a semi circle. Mate of mine works for Car Shine, rolls/lips guards on a lot of BMW/Mercs/Audis etc, he said they use to use a hub mounted guard roller, but had a lot of problems and complaints, and went back to doing it the old way. Now the guard roller sits in a pile of tyres out the back.
  16. If your going to lip/roll the guards, make sure you do it properly, with dollys and a dead blow, not those crappy gaurd rollers that sit on the hub.
  17. Exedy are the OEM for OS Giken, plus about 10 other jap companies. They seem to just anodize bits and call it a new product.
  18. Im up for it, wont embarrass myself on the dyno, but ill come for bbq.
  19. 19 here, however i agree most Cefiro owners do tend to be older.
  20. Could try Trutrack, (03) 9326 5392.
  21. Steve, drill some holes in the front grille to get the condensation out! It was my first mod.
  22. I think gaurds will have to be rolled mate, i just test fitted some 16x8.5's with 225/40's, on the rear, +35 offset and it was quite close to the over lapping lip of the inner guard.
