  1. The search function is great when it finds exactly what I was searching for. I inquired specifically about the NGK R7433-8, not the standard copper or the iridium. My tuner gave a suggestion and I prefer an opinion from other English speaking enthusiasts before I drop $180 on a set.
  2. Anyone ever use NGK R7433-8? My tuner recommends them but I feel they cost too much.
  3. I'm going to use 555 Nismo injectors and a Nismo regulator. The fuel pump is from a GT-R. So about 50 PSI is the target pressure?
  4. What is the fuel pressure for a ECR33?
  5. I recently installed a set of Cusco adjustable front camber arms at +5 on my 94 ECR33. If I brake quickly at any speed, a single thump is heard and felt through the steering wheel. If I apply smooth, progressive pressure, no problems at all. I had the front up on jack stands a few hours ago. When I rotate the wheel and apply the brake, the camber arms move at their mounting points. I had a 4 technicians look at this (US Army Auto Skills Center) and have no idea because both sides do this. The manger of the shop has the same set on his 34 GTT but they make no noise. Yes, the bolts are tight and the arms are for an ECR33. The only thing we came up with is the arms are not rubber isolated and transmit the shock because the bolts are not a perfect fit.
  6. Just had my RB25DET cylinder head refurbished at Nagoya Precision in Hachioji. New guides, seats cut, grind valves and a shave, all for only 170000 Yen. I mildly ported the head while it was disassembled. Anyway, the intake valves have a 30 degree back cut but the exhausts do not. All the research I have done indicates that back cutting improves flow at low lift. My tuner, Fujii Dynamics, says it's not needed because it's a forced induction engine. I have a set of Tomei PonCams that will be installed. Any opinions on back cutting?
  7. What are the mechanical differences between the series 1 and series 2 RB25DET? I know the ignition system is different. I suspect the cam position sensor is different because of the cam shafts. My second question is can I swap a series 2 engine in to a series 1 GTS-t without major problems?
  8. My reply was towards WazR32GTSt (with no disrespect intended). My paradigm is American, maybe that's why I'm jaded. Motorex screwed up importation for us. I lived in California for 3 years, 45 minutes north of Los Angeles. I saw many a rich puke in the Santa Monica Mountains with cars well above double the price of truly a exotic JDM gray market import. Some of them thought they could drive them too. Seriously; if a person was able to afford a European sports car I don't think he'll floss the strip in the new Nissan GT-R. That crowd will still buy the Euro because people will recognize it and the babes will flock.
  9. "The target is Porsche and other high-end buyers with a free 100k to spend on cars" Nissan is trying to make a new coveted car by pricing it out of the enthusiasts range. This car has no name with people over 35 or anywhere the vehicle has never been sold. Do you really think a large number of doctors, lawyers and other rich individuals that can afford to purchase BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche will jump on the Nissan bandwagon? Look at all the clowns that ride ridiculously priced Harley Davidson's when Japan makes bikes that are light years ahead. They are elitists that feel their machines are "real" motorcycles due to the history, pedigree and price.
  10. Yawn.... I said before, this car will flop. NISMO CAR'S FACTORY ZELE on route 129 in Sagamihara sells immaculate stock R34's for almost the same price as the rumored sticker price of this manufacturing cost cutting abomination of the name. The GT-R badge is to acquire buyers. Bose speakers to further the idea that this car will be market to idiots with more money than brains. A Skyline GT-R 33 can be imported for less. This car is made from existing assembly lines using recycled parts, nothing more than a G37 with different body work, twin turbo and ATESSA. Lets reinvent an S-16 Silvia while we are here but give it the QR25DE motor with no turbo option and base it off the Sentra/Sunny. Great work Mr. Ghosn.

  14. I didnt intend to cause you eye strain. What is the approved font I should use? Calling it GT-R or Skyline its a basis of symantics. The two are linked regardless. Nissan knows this and it will sell on name alone. At first. The twin turbo V6 was already in a the 300ZX. Add the name and the ATESSA what do you have? I feel the RB engine made them special. An odd ball engine compaired to the USA V8 muscle. All I am trying to say is I'm not super impressed. Yes, this car may blow the doors off the competition. I hope it does. Based on the current line up Nissan offers, I dont think so.
  15. There are many left. Ususally go to a used car dealer and ask them to go to the auctions for you. Thats how we got ours. MESOGLEA
  16. I base my opinions on the USA market. Look at what Nissan is doing with their cars. The USA sedan line all look like the Maxima. They offer one performance car, the "Z". They tried an Altima SE-R and it did not sell. They now have an Altima Coupe, a front wheel drive. Cutting manufacturing costs by making the vehicles on a similar platform and pass none of those savings towards the consumer. They are trying to market the new Skyline towards the high-end. The 30 and under crowd are the ones who know the name but the 40+ crowd will be the ones who can afford it. They will still buy Ferrari, Porsche and Corvette because they do not know what a Skyline is. The car has no heritage in the USA. The new Skyline is nothing more than a fancy Infiniti G37 with turbos, ATESSA, the name and price tag. Maybe even an older, four seat 300ZX TT with ATESSA. This is not a GT-R. This car will flop. My Japanese friends agree.
