  1. LOL.......nup.....now way never....don't even like letting my wife drive my car. On that subject.....years ago I had a Giocattalo(had 450hp ATW's).....anyways was at Wakefield park and this random guy(turned out to be an instructor) came up and tried to tell me he was taking my car for a couple of laps(thats right didn't ask....told me).......anyway I asked what he had at the track....his answer a VR SS Commodore...so I said fine....but give me the key's to your VR SS.....his answer no......Wont tell you my answer back to him but it was colourful!!!!....moron. P.S. Like your avatar pic willL
  2. Turbo broad minded person!!!!
  3. Hi all.....don't know wether this post has been done before as I couldn't find. Anyway wanted to get info on doing a re-trim or getting new front seats as the M35 AR-X front seats are shit. So if you can post pics of what you got done and where you got it done it would be great. anyway....I'm look forward to seeing some pics of great C34's and M35's.
  4. 47's.....lol......I kept getting stuck into him for being 3 seconds off the pace......mind you it was 40 degree's and he is 72!!!.... Time he should retire me thinks.....he needs to put someone younger in the car.....like me!!!!!
  5. Spotted a Silver M35 RS or RX at Eastern Creek this morning at about 9.45am.
  6. nah...was at EC though! the R31 Cleaned up in Group A
  7. not bad without a tune!
  8. Standard turbo with steel impellers and bush would probably be around the $650 mark Standard turbo with steel impellers and BB would probably be around the $900 marks High flow GT30/71r with bush about $1,300 High flow GT3071r with BB about $1,650 The above prices are estimates
  9. It should but it doesn't....the fly by wire stuff's everything up down low....infact I find it dangerous...the C34 are cable aren't they?.....I have a little over 200kw's ATW's and Mazda 121 can beat me to 40km/h. If I was doing another rebuild I would go for something inbetween the standard and a GT30/71......something that drops of the HP at about 6,300 but still pulls from about 2,800. Once your moving thought the GT30 build is awesome!!!
  10. cop lol....never noticed it before....lol
  11. I did mine on the ground just dropping the gearbox crossmember. If you are going for a Bush or GCG BB turbo it will be alot quicker than 9 hours as it's a straight refit with no mods.....my turbo was 20mm shorter because of the Garrett BB's that were put in....and trust me that 20mm's makes all the difference. As for the GCG I have my reservations about them on the way the do there BB's. The turbo is only rated at 450hp with those BB's on our turbo so if you are starting to get around 200kw's ATW's with a piggyback or remap you are at the limits of what the GCG BB's can handle pretty quickly. The Garrett BB setup is rated at 550hp which for me is more practical as I am not pushing the limits of the turbo.
  12. f#$King scientist's
  13. + 1 on that....I had to drive back to Sydney from Phillip Island with no turbo......ohhh the pain!!! and Scott.....I have no comeback......I am still hunting the 121 for a rerun though!!!!!!.....lol
  14. sounds like it's gone. If you are happy with the current setup and don't want alot more HP like about 30-40kw's more ATW's go for a standard GCG rebuild with the BB's and steel impellers. If you what to start pushing above 200kw's ATW's you will more than likely need to go with something around the highflow GT30/71 setup.....bad part of this is how much down low you loose. If you don't have an exhaust you will need from the dump back otherwise the car is just to dangerous out of the hole(e.g.I got beaten by a Mazda 121) One of the guy's on this forum is working on a GT28 setup which I think from experience would be perfect for our motor and still get to the 200kw ATW. As I said before though unless you plan on doing an exhaust this is more than likely a waist of time and I would stick with a stock rebuild. P.S. I have my reservations about the GCG BB turbo. Also if you are planing on doing this yourself it's a big job! bit of reading for you http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/At...mp;hl=m35+turbo and http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Tu...mp;hl=m35+turbo and http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/M3...mp;hl=m35+turbo
  15. BTW peeps......what are you doing still online.....get in your Volvo's and cruise!!!!!
  16. 6 of 1............ cheapest option?????? Is there a cheap option with this.....I am just trying to get out of a spec'd up Auto build for $3,500!!!! I agree with you on the ease of the V35/Z33 gearbox......but you have the below issues: Purchase of gearbox - My guess $2000 at least(good part about this is that it is 6 speed) Purchase of Transfer case - Buy it with another gearbox and sell gearbox - $400 of your cost Fitting the transfer case to the gearbox - At least $500 If the input shaft is different add $500 My way Purchase of R33 gearbox - $900 to $1,200 Reweld for fit - $500est Input shaft - $500est All the other parts still have to be added to the above prices This to me is a very doable project....lighten the car and get more HP ATW's......and get rid of the F#$King slushbox!!!!!
  17. Why cannot I not use the R32/R33 bellhousing and do a spacer after to fit or even fill and reshape as the pic attached.....then it's the input shaft to mod(which will more than likely need doing anyway).
  18. Input shaft I have assigned money too but I wont be able to sort out until the bellhousing is done....should not be that hard(I say that now) thanks for the input on the spigot Darrin....I am sure this will have to be made as well.
  19. Would you say I can start getting the parts list together....or hold off until you chat a bit more?
  20. So at a guess we only have: 2 x C34's 3 x M35's Is that correct Who is coming!!!! I need to get an estimate when you get a second guy's.....
  21. Done all the pricing with the exception of the bellhousing for a R32/33 GTR gearbox(second hand box).....$2,689 but I would add another $500 for misc. The only problem is sourcing someone to do a bellhousing. Anyone???
  22. stupidaclock....nup...location......nup.....but stranger things have happened....lol
