  1. I went down this road a while back.....while the Patrol box was stong the 34 Getrag is probably the best option because it can handle the HP and Torque once you start tweeking.....it was also built as a sports box and we all know it will handle the MN35 AWD system. The only real problem I stumbled over was the bell housing.....everything else was pretty straight forward. The let down was cost.....if I could find a good one with the transfer case for $1,500 I would have gone for it.
  2. That is more than likely because of the intercooler.....we were having to have a 10 minute break between each run to help the car cool down properly.....the electronic boost controller isn't going to get me anymore top end hp but it will help me control the dip and get a nice flat line. P.S. The only reason I went to 18PSI(my turbo is good for 22) is because I wanted the magic 200kw's.....16PSI showed me 196.2KW....17psi 199.99KW....lol. If I do the right sized intercooler I might(might) get up to 210 or above.
  3. yeh....the dyno guy wants me to put an electronic boost controller to fix the flat spot(the go on the dyno again ).......wont get me much more KW's top end but it will cure the dip and bring the boost on quicker
  4. yeh Cam......his more along the lines of a Hobbit!!!!
  5. hhhhhmmmmmm!!!! Wife just found out the I have received and already spent my tax return...........there was a very long pause on the phone followed by " I am to pissed off to talk to you right now.....we will chat when I get home" Options guys.....HELP!!!!!! Option one: Get drunk before I get home! Option two: Don't go home Option three: Flowers and chocolate Option four: Find new wife HELP.....please!!!!!
  6. Yup will be up there with Dad in the R31......about 15-20 Groups A/C's running in our class......thats including Terry Ashwood's GPA Winfield R32 see you there I guess.
  7. Though I might might add this up for you Group A/C nuts in QLD. Looks like a good entry list for us too. LakeSide_Classic_Speed_Fest.pdf
  8. cannot find any in my collection.....may be earlier on in this thread..... if you wait a couple of weeks(19th-20th sept) it should be up at Lakeside racing.
  9. sorry no luck....bugger bugger bugger.......followed all the way down Beecroft RD by police only to be pulled over at Pennant Hills shops and breath tested.....it's a conspiracy!!!!
  10. Gold!!!!! ....does your wife get on these forums much??? PS. 5 minutes away from leaving work from my first real squirt with no traffic.
  11. Boost controller will be a while.....and the gearbox should hold for a good amount of time I hope.....if I buy anything else it will be an intercooler(sway bars and Nismo stickers on the way) My problem at the moment is that my wife has no idea that I have received and already spent my tax return.....I am so dead when she finds out how much I got back !!!!!!.....whats the worst she can do?......take the sex that I am not already getting off me?????.......or then again she might sit me down and make me listen to her
  12. Transmission is fine......just gotta make sure I put in the right fluid in future though Don't worry...I am just as confused as well!....but thats what I was told.......we never did another run with the standard ECU settings so this is the only one I could show and give you a ruff idea of where we came from.
  13. OK to start with here are my upgrades before the Piggyback.....and also a big thanks to the all guy's at Envy imports for putting up with me today. Powerduct(lol) Air Fliter Element Highflow GT30/71 with Garrett BB set Dump pipe Manual bleed valve Standard tune is shown in Green.....the Standard ECU was taking over the piggyback at 5,750rpm.....hence the abrupt end at 164KW's....if it ran all the way to 6,500rpm's it would probably go to 170kw's. Dyno tune is in Red. PSI has been lifted to 18psi but still bleeds off to 15psi. Response has only been shortened slightly out of the hole. Power is delivered a bit smoother. The biggest problem I had was how much power was lost through the standard intercooler after a run(approx 20-25kw's). The other small problem was wheel diameter.....the non AR-X's will always make more power because of this. Fuel economy is awesome... normally I get in between 5.8 to 6.2....a 50km run in peak hour saw 8.8 and that was with a couple of squirts. Oh and no problems at all with fuel. So upgrade advice before tune with the mods above.....a good sized intercooler(does not need to be huge though) and a good electronic boost controller and smaller diameter wheels.....then you may see 210 to 220KW's everytime
  14. Was thinking about this thread as I went down The Commenarra Parkway (at Warp 5) at 7AM this morning......even got to put a Legnum to shame.....for a 2 tonne fat cow they sure do hang on.
  15. will post standard dyno results on Monday...................................then the finished Haltech results
  16. might have to change my saying "The only good cat is a dead cat" I have a street full of these useful furry shits.....will stop shooting them with the BB gun now. Anybody want a freshly caught Chamois....you pay for shipping!!! see pic for shipping dimensions....lol
  17. now the dump pipe is on it's pretty awesome......Haltech will go on as soon as Rudd gives me my tax return back.
  18. Why go a bigger turbo? If you can make your own manifolds, do some additional plumping and get something like a R32 Intercooler and just put another standard turbo on the other side. ......there's room there.....alot easier to do than putting a bigger turbo in IMO.
  19. looks the goods Danny....also noticed your exhaust impeller has one more fin than mine......might help it boost up quicker.
  20. +4 on the suspension noise Luv the sound of the highflow.....sounds like a jet following me around.....oh and my eyelids....and my wheels....and my su.......!!!!!!everything.
  21. thats sounds more realistic.
  22. Sorry I'm a bit lost with this....191kw's at the wheels with just an exhaust!!!!!!!! scotty mn35 has an exhaust and piggyback and is only getting 173kw's at 16psi.....something does not add up!
  23. Or you could be a gaylord in pink aye Steve not that there is anything wrong with that!!!! only kidding the maroon(pink) is my second choice.
