  1. More muscle car 2008 on TV This Saturday the 20th at 3pm on Channel 7 (not 7HD) Go the R31.....only one Nissan in it but heaps of Group A/C action
  2. I went through the exact same thing.....AXIS....ARX....AXIS.....ARX.....I was bidding on both but what I got was a great deal so I ended up with the AR-X....and a lot of change in my pocket to get the car to how I wanted it. In the answer to sporty or a bus on cross-pliers(american shitbox).....The AXIS is the more sportier model being 100kg's lighter and is already set up pretty good.....but that is nothing a good set of springs, shocks and swaybays cannot fix on the ARX. Remember at the end of the day this is a station wagon so if you think you are going to end up with some sort of R34 GTR you are mistaken.....in saying that I don't think you will ever see a Ford Territory, Falcon Station wagon or a Adventura/Commodore keeping up to one of these in the wet......and they will be battling in the dry as well. In answer to the standard suspension on the AR-X....it's actually not to bad.....but you do feel the weight of the car......let's put it this way, it was better than the Turbo Territory and Holden Adventura I test drove when I started looking for a new car.
  3. Do you know were I can get the Jap version of this.....need the wiring diagram? The M35 with the VQ25det motor
  4. Which is the other model that comes standard with a wider track, V-Hicas, Attessa and 18" rims? An is easy to find? On top of that all the luxury items? I know the AXIS does but it's $5,000 more expensive and still does not always get the Attessa or V-Hicas. Also my shocks were gone when I got mine...have you seen the price of the standard Nissan shocks for the ARX? The grey springs are Eibach not Bilstein.
  5. I need the M35 with the VQ25DET ECU and wiring.
  6. don't mind the back end....its the front that looks like a Pokimon or cross eye'd!!!
  7. Another bit of FYI on rear R32 GTR calipers. Tried the rears on last night and although the rotor fitted the caliper has totally a different mount....bit of shame as it looked to be an easy and cheap upgrade.
  8. The unit I am told will work(from a mate at Haltec) is about $700 then you need dyno and install...it's also a piggyback and can only control booste, fuel, timing and o2. The thing that they really need is a workshop manual or the wiring diagram for the M35 with the VQ25DET.
  9. $3,500? Nah!......I have been talking to them at around $1,200 then Dyno? I'll go and double check what I have been told and post a confirmed price estimate. No way I will be paying $3,500 for a piggyback!
  10. Haltec are working with the 2004 - 2007 M35's at the moment with the NA 3.5lt. I am also going with them in the next month or so with my car so I will have some results then.....as for the boost I am not game to raise it from standard until it dies.... also I am pretty sure a with a good muck around with the fuel mixtures and timing you should be able to get a good power increase from the Haltec system.
  11. Mate I had the same problem. There is a cir-clip on the front shock.....the bottom setting is to low....I have set mine to the middle....the top setting is not to high either. Are your springs grey in color? If so there are eibach springs not the original Bilstein spring(PS Eibach are a better spring).....there is also an Eibach agent in Austalia and they can make your springs to any spec. If you want the original ride height the cheapest way is to go back to the original springs or get them made.
  12. LOL!!!...Was thinking what the F..K! How does this guy know about the jetski?....then on closer inspection I see what your talking about!....lucky I wasn't in my budgie smugglers!!!!
  13. I own a M35 Ar-x and personally only on certain angles do I like it (as below). As for the Autotech 260.....f..king awesome looking car which ever way you look at it. At the end of the day the only reason I went for the M35 over the 260 was that I could not justify spending 30K+ on an every day car that is already over ten years old.
  14. lol.....and how will you get that spend past your wife??? more to the point is there not more to spend on your car to keep up to the Jones?
  15. Can anyone tell me what the problems with the plugs that I got from Nissan are? NI22401-5M016.....they are also $24.15 each. What's the difference between these and the one Tony is suggesting?
  16. will PM you
  17. didn't say how it happened did they?
  18. just hit 10 for the M35's
  19. Spotted a nice white one today on Victoria road at Ryde at about 6PM.
  20. r u shore on this morning....every other morning yes....last night I had 2 P4's and 6 beers......hope I was not sleep driving again....lol Duncan two things. *r u coming out to muscle car? *and you now the other? think about it this way...more finance for your r32 project. P.S. P = panadine, 4 = sleep, 6 beers = more sleep.....I need it after 5 double shifts in a row!
  21. a bit of fun for everyone.....got on goggle maps today and spotted the back corner of my M35 next to the trailer on my parents driveway. I know it's trivial and silly but I bet you will try it :b
  22. Muz I still feel for you....I hope this gets sorted sooner rather than later. Guy's I was looking at some EVO9 wagons the other day on J-Spec....I'm not sure but I didn't think these could get get compliance yet! I could be wrong or if I am right I could get bent over like you guy's. If I am right I think this could be a case of buyer beware as it has "registered and complied" but then in fine type down the bottom of the advert it has "There is a chance that this model could be approved under the SEVS compliance laws " WTF does that mean!.....have a $40,000 bet with SEVS!!!. They should not be able to advertise it as "registered and complied" yet.....should say something about the SEVS ruling. http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/index.php?ID=13235 Anyway's thought I might just point out a dodgy advertisement for those who are interested.
  23. Looks fun.......but!!!! I'm with djr81. It also doesn't look like it has the same high speed flowing as the current layout. No more high speed turn one!......I'll miss her Drift track defiantly needs to be bigger and separate to the main circuit.
  24. Don't know wether this is the number or not...but it's the # on my receipt from Nissan. Pretty sure they are NGK as well. NI22401-5M016.....they are also $24.15 each.....add's up when you have 6 of them
  25. Just spoke to Hornsby Nissan. They said max of 10 day's but most of them are 5 day's or under. e.g. as I mentioned my stuff was about 4 days. P.S. They also said the parts are readily available in Japan so shipment would be straight away.
