Robert.....Sorry about how rude people are here!!!
Since you have only just purchased the car I am thinking that you may not have had the Flux Capacitor checked.....it will need a service as I will lay London to a brick the complier never checked it.....Japan runs a different spec of UF octane to Aus. That will help you in the long run with your gear changing.
Also don't forget to check the oil levels in the front Star rod every 10,000Km's as most FC's tend to leak very quickly due to the TT you will be doing!
BAHHHHH!!!!.....you call that 1???
Oh your talking since you purchased the Jaffa!....thats OK then.....pretty pitiful effort though....but you can have it.
So M35 days

Aaron 1(but a pitiful 1)
.......lol!
I haven't blown up things because I fiddled though! I blame my right hand foot for being so heavy when the motor blew!
1 motor blown in 25 years of driving, racing ect.....
Whats you number in 4 years????
LOL....name and shame I say!
.....sick of the Australian market place with there 43,275,498,325,432,987,598,547% markup on all products.....hence the reason 90% of my purchases are now OS!
Yeh but what was the final drive ratio for 150mph? 400rwkw is an achievable rating IMO. 400awkws you are starting to push stress levels quite a lot..... Talking standard c34 ratios as well.
I think we have gone off track here...lol.... Although I could discuss this shit all day.
The transgo shift kits are good for an average say 250 to 290 awkw street car... We all know if you want more than that you are talking about a major $$$$ upgrade.... If you expect more Hp out of a standard gb with a simple vb upgrade reliably your dreaming.
How are they figuring out these figures! If it's anything like the way they worked out the RE5 with our/your final drive gearing they will only be good for about 400awkws!
so that would mean:
series 1 RE4R01A = http://m.summitracing.com/parts/TRG-RE4R01A-HD2
Blurb from the Transgo site.
Corrects/Reduces/Prevents: Planet burnup,
3rd clutch failure; Forward clutch burnup;
Soft 1-2 shift; Band burnup and low lube flow.
Has High-Temp, Low Shrink Sealing Rings.
series 2 RE4R01B = cannot find one on the Transgo site ( http://www.transgo.com/sk_nissan.php ) ......does anyone know of any other kits available?
Bloody he'll....should not happen....that is a thick oil IMO and should be fine. Any oil on the rear window of the car???.....if not have a look under the car for leaks.
I'm lucky if I loose 50mls in the VQ in 10000kms....even our race RB,s don't use that much.
P.s came in here to wish you luck on your dyno run.
From what I can find so far there are only these kits

Any of these suit?
Will go to the transgo site tomorrow and have a bit more of a look....I have seen these gb's built to handle big Hp in the past.
What is the difference in the gearbox?.....is it just clutches or the Vb....I'll try and find a kit tomorrow as there was quite a few to choose from.
Like I said...just trying to help you out....the more info you can supply me the more chance I have of sorting it for you.
.....I don't know if you with get the fully sic shift of the homodores as I have never owned one.
But I will tell you if you are thinking of cranking up your Hp this is has been a good choice for the m35's.... Shift is shorter and smoother at low rpm and much more direct under full power.
Your choice I'm just offering it!
Hi Guy's,
Thought I might offer this to you as I am doing the M35's.
you guy's will have to dictate the kit that you want though....I presume that your gearbox's are the ones below.
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TRG-RE4R01A-HD2/
or
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TRG-RL4F03A-HD2/
I will buy these in group buy's to reduce the shipping cost.
Cost for install minus the kit will be about $200 to $250 and you bring your own oil + your car to me. I will look at the possibility of doing a mail setup like the M35's as soon as I can sus out the first kit.
If you just want the kit without me installing there will be an extra charge of around $30.
let me know your thoughts.
cheers
Craig
