It's more of a safety issue.....a 1mm hole is a lot easier to block than a 2mm ect......cleaning it may not fix the problem as there may be more shit sitting around the engine that will block it at a latter stage(e.g. Aarons oil filter res)
I was told by my turbo builder to open up the hole as the Garrett BB set I have already has a restrictor in it.
BTW.
P.S. Chill pill guy's.....ffs the guy(radaladelaidian) was only asking a question about why we were doing it......there has been a lot of what I would call rude response's lately(I know I am one to speak!!)......I know there are a lot of new guys coming on here now and maybe its the way they write responses but I am sure they did not wake up in the morning having the objective of pissing you off by the end of the day.....
well maybe Aaron and Iain wake up with that thought towards each other....I think it's just sexual tension though!
$5,000 aye.
Providing you do most of the mechanical work yourself.
Turbo back exhaust(including dump + no cat), Standard rebuild of the the turbo with steel wheels, E-Manage ultimate + tune, a Turbosmart boost controller and a set of BC's.
Spent!
I finished the wheel alignment with the new poly strutt bar to chassis mount bushing in yesterday.....the ones that I got add about another 1 degree caster from the standard setup.
Car now handles a lot better through corners with less bump steer and a more precise point + my friggen vibration had gone when powering out of left hand corners.....I am actually thinking of backing off the sway bar one click now.
Please note....I had to replace mine because they were stuffed.....I don't know and I can only presume that it will make a difference over the standard ones if they are not shagged.
I have setup an exchange with the workshop using Iain's spare set of arm's.
Prices as below:
*Supply and press in the bush's into arms. $300(ex gst)....shipping not included. Please note that this will be an exchange set of arms so a returnable deposit will be needed to guarantee I get your arms, back.
*Supply and press bush's into arms + install into car $450(ex gst) through the Suspension workshop. Please note that this is for the Sydney people....Melbourne people can be sorted for an install as well.
You should not need a wheel alignment after doing this but the workshop I am using had the alignment setting if needed.
Guy's although I will be coordinating this atm I am not making anything out of it so please don't try to barter with me....price tend to go up for you as I don't barter or deal!.......PM me or call me for further detail.
cheers
Craig
So I fitted up the new poly bush's today....finally the frigging vibration has gone that I have been hunting for the last 2 years. Drive is great...feels like a new car again as it should as I have now replaced everything....my old ones were pretty well gone.
The replacements are a lot better in design as they allow for the arms to not load up continually
I run a 54mm race radiator and the Nismo thermostat.......no problems with my car with normal running in winter.....it hangs around 85 to 89 in traffic and about 84 on the freeway on hot or cold days....pretty sure from memory it was the same in summer.
On the track it dropped down 2 degrees and ran a perfect 83 degrees the whole time.......makes me think that it would do about 85-86 degree's in summer on the track!
hear you go!!!....lol!

Or the other alternative is to do what I did!
Mines a bit of a mixed bag.
Car :183,000
Gearbox: 183,000 (New gearbox will have about 110,000)
Motor: 49,000 (First motor did 144,000 then had an oop's)
Diff's: Front 45,000, Rear 22,000
Suspension: 80,000
even better....dip your bonnet in the front and raze it 4mm in the back and cut out the plastic in the middle of the rear firewall plastic up the top.....hardly noticeable in looks but good for sucking the air in and keeping the bay cool.....only really works while moving though.
Our car in a sedan....now there is a thought...maybe we can convince one of the v35 guys to get rid of there butt ugly front end and do a conversion our way!
