just for snow or mud and maybe very heavy wet wether driving.......I do a bit a gravel driving every now and again and just leave it in normal mode and the car feels really well balanced. I also found that if I used the sync mode at high speed in wet wether driving it got terminal understeer through the twisties.......bad enough to even scare me! No need to leave it on for normal driving conditions the 4WD system in these cars works everything out for you.

250rwkw's out of a VQ30DET manual though!!!! what are you pushing at all 4 wheels again with the auto and a VQ25DET Scott?

yeh bit of a sore point......SAS in Sydney were "doing it".....but nothing ever evolved.....I started chasing on Dec 8th 2009 and still had no luck after harassing every week till August 2010(i even had a reminder set up in my calendar). Was fed quite a few stories along the way........the last time I rang the story was that the guy who makes the readers had been taken by the army for deployment into the armed forces in Korea.....and may not get back to it until next year sometime....."apparently" it's finished and paid for just needs to be sent...... but they cannot get into his house in Korea to find and send it! There's a couple of spare AR-X ECU's floating around at the moment so if you have another avenue and are prepared to throw some of you own money at it PM me. I'm happy with the road i'm taking atm.......just need my new motor

cracking it open to have a look before you put it in or what? -
it had a melt down.....literally!.....got a little lean and melted a piston + a couple of spark plugs!

progressive throttle application at PI me thinks....but I did find that PI was way better for grip in the wet than some of the other track's in OZ!......as Duncan mentioned driving on line is not alway's the best way to do things(I might add..."especially at EC!").....I find that if I drive around the preferred dry line in heavy rain I find heap's more grip!
-
I've been slack on this.....but my car is in bit's and I wanted to bring it along as well .......my new motor arrives on the 20th and then off to the dyno the next week.....so I should be able to organise a meet for mid Dec.
-
wonders wether Nick was really there to get rid of his Camry wagon and come across to the dark side? oh and well done Graham!.....I am sure you will enjoy......might see you as soon as I pull my figure out and get this meet going.....(meet's coming guy's, but I am waiting for my new motor to arrive....want to be able to take my car as well )

Vq25det M35 Stagea Turbo, I Need A New One
Jetwreck replied to danwatt's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Keir here is the thread I was telling you about. I've got one part you can have......but you are better off getting Scott to make it with the SP. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/M3...ons+of+interest -

Vq25det To Vq35det Conversion In M35 Stagea?
Jetwreck replied to dcdc's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Both conversions are quite expensive.....If you have the money and time though go for it!.......what AWKW's are you looking for? Don't think that you can get a stock VQ35DE strap on a turbo and then wind it up to 400AWKW's safely and think you wont start bending rod's and breaking other shit......to do that safely from stock your looking at over $12K providing you do most of the work yourself!....that's not including the gearbox upgrade that you WILL need which will be about $2,000....again depending on wether you do the work yourself! If your only looking for about 300AWKW's better off sticking with the VQ25DET(not sure a stock VQ35DE would do that).......your should be able to get to that figure safely for about $6,500.....again providing you do most of the work yourself! -
Anyone Installed One Of These?
Jetwreck replied to Old Gregg's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
yeh I thought long and hard about getting the Dolphin one too.....as Cam said it will improve the flow but it will still be limited. I opted to go with Scott for mine as I have a H/F and I wanted to match the intake side of the turbo to the intake pipe diameter. Scott's pipe made a pretty big difference to my car right through the range. P.S. For around the same money as the Dolphin one you could get a custom one made in Australia that will go all the way down to the turbo. -

As a standard car from the factory. No to the sway bars....no option available from the factory. ...and the LSD....not unless it was made from an AR-X or it was optioned on when purchased!
-
might add....both the owners were in the car at the same time as me driving there car!
-
lol....that's an easy fix..........most 4WD's will have a degree of understeer.....ours has that problem but it's no chronic it's more just a technique change in your driving.....my car tends to have more or an oversteer problem from the apex onwards(also before the apex sometimes)...turn in is fine(not perfect but fine)....being able to control that turn in from the front bars would be great hence the front bar......I don't want to go a harder bar in the rear atm moment as I will loose even more grip coming out of the corner....to me the front bar is the week link in our suspension!....driving with a little understeer does not bother me though! Maybe the understeer is worse for all you guy's without the LSD:P From what I felt from another one of M35 owners car on this forum with the BC suspension I would be more likely to spend my cash on a limo and front sway bar as the car was already tending to oversteer first before the apex and was looking also for more drive out of the corner! Another of the forum guy's in an AR-X has both front and rear sway bars + the LSD and I have to admit while fun and predictable I found his car a little quick in the rear(in the wet). anyway....just my thoughts
-
and me....front only!

why don't you buy an Iphone/Ipod dock and just play music through that? Like the one Andy has in his car?

+1 on that...lol! -
just make sure you soak the stud's and bolts in WD40 or Rustoff before you start......preferably while it's still hot!
-
lol!!!!!!!! As a person who has probably done everything other than an E85 conversion to get the most out of turbo that choses not to work with the car but should work with the car and probably would with any other car!!!!.....but this car is "NOT THE SAME AS MOST CARS" so it doesn't....yet! Order of noticeable improvements 1. THE F$#KING DUMP!!!!!!! 2. A good air filter 3. The Exhaust 4. FMIC 5. Turbo 6. ECU upgrade or piggyback + Injectors +runner spacer + Fuel pump + suction pipe(good luck with this one as there are only a couple of people that can do the ECU properly) Order of improvements for the summer weather 1. THE F$#KING DUMP!!!!!!! 2. FMIC 3. Phenolic runner spacer 4. Nismo thermostat Sorry if I have offended people but.........oh f#$k it! If you don't believe us do your own thing!.....maybe shoot Gale Banks an email and ask him about the VQ25DET!
