you are 100% at fault if you hit a pedestrian on a crossing. if you hit someone not on a crossing then doesnt it rely on witnesses? "they ran out onto the road infront of the car", "they were crossing the road and the car didnt slow down".... also they can tell how fast you were going from injuries and skidmarks etc....

ok just did a bit of googling and noticed that speed cameras are now called safety cameras. should be cslled cash or revenue cameras. the ones im talking about i think monitor the traffic, safEty cams....

nah the ones on the metal frames not at intersections just straight road. usually has a white sign with 2 or 3 small cameras pointing down over the lanes.

its all about money. nothing to do with saving lives. speed and red light cameras must have signs warning you. no signs, then dont worry. safEty cameras are not speed cameras.

lastnight on the way back from lyneham, stoped at the lights in front of the ainslie fire station (wakefield and limestone avs), a fire truck left. then down at the begining of the monaro near duntroon, another fire truck went through the lights there, then closer to the hindmarsh bridge, another fire truck and about 10 secs after was the police crash investigation van all heading out airport/ majura rd way. i put my money on a head-on on majura but listened to the news this morning and nothing..... anyone know anything?

come to act. all speed cameras have 20 signs before it with the speed you should be doing. undercover car are easily picked out and the vans sit in the same places, you will soon learn where they sit and most people flash you anyway or just slow before a known location. simple.....

i was sitting on 140 in 110. but radar said 151. i know my speedos not out and 140 is only 30 over not more so shouldnt loose it. but i didnt know this untill 3 days ago. i didnt fight it at the time as 140 and 151 or in the same bracket, same fine and same points. no i havnt lost them all or reached the maximum of 12 as it really is. http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/rulesregulations...ints/index.html and i found this on another page. "If you are issued a penalty notice for speeding in excess of 45 km/h over the limit, the suspension will apply for a period of six months. i know lol. i would have like to have known about it at the time instead of coming out of nowhere 2 months later.... but i just want other people to know as everyone ive asked hasnt....

does anyone know that 30km/h over the speed limit is and instant 3 month suspension? i found out the hard way. happened in march, i paid the fine, i lost the points then 2 days ago i got a letter saying my licence would be suspended for 3 months. happens on the 29th of june. why is it only brought to my attention now? never said it on the fine, not on the reminder notice (yes even after the reminder notice you still have 1 month to pay before you get a late fee) or not even when i rang the SDRO. its been over 2 months since it happened. and why have i never heard of this before? 45km/h or over is 6 months. also if you loose 12-15 points over 3 years thats an instant 3 months suspension aswell. 16-19 is 6 months.

spotted 3 new skylines in 2 days. that light blue one on thursday on the monaro, yesterday a white one on the monaro and a silver one last night on sulwood. dunno if they are V35s or 350GTs first two were side on and couldnt get close enough the the silver one was too wet. also a maroon R32 leaving fyshwick on newcastle going onto hindmarsh about 5.30 yesterday arvo
