so a hks 2540r will make 250rwkw at 24.65 psi(1.7bar) and a garret gt25r will make 250rwkw at 18.85 psi (1.3bar).so why would hks make a turbo that needs more psi to get same power that the garret did.in effect they have taken a garret turbo and f**ked it so it makes less power at same psi.what is hks good for then???coz i just bought a 3037s 56t
yeah i bought in st albans but wasnt off OH performance.the bloke i got it off bought it off him 3 months ago.apparently brand new for 9k. yeah that prick is dodgy as, been there before and ran away.when you see the manifold you will know its a nice one definaltely machine welded me reckons.has slots machined out to prevent cracking and shit.im stoked with what i got. all in perfect nick and very high quality.
ps: when i went to OH he had cast hks end tanks and was welding em onto el cheap o cores.
pss : 3037s are ball bearing or bush bearing???
psss: turbo is high mount turbo will be a tad higher that rocker cover
Sounds like gudgeon pins are chewed out.happened to me on my old 200sx.changed the vvt cog coz that was noisy but didnt take all noise away what i was left with was that same sound.came on at about 2700 rpm.
I have the hks pod and mine is hella loud sounds like a rocket launching.people can still here it over the exhaust.i expect trust would be the same.you got some nice induction now
I aint gonna over run it.plus i dont have my licence back for 9 more months.so it will only get driven hard at strip track and back roads round here.plus if it throws a leg i will 3 ltr it
Just gasket and cams.my motor only done 17000(unless they can wizz the electronic dashes)so if i tune it to perfection with no detonation and shit it should be sweet.if HPI34T dies soon i might rethink my plans.
Inasnt what turbo did you end up getting???
