  1. yeah man, i think i've been had on this one ...damn revenue raising
  2. not to be just another "boo hoo i got a speeding fine cause i am a moron who drives like i stole it" but, just now i was in Bunbury, on the way in i was pulled over by a police man with a wavy red glow stick (who totally looked like something out of Counterstrike) "we are from the Gang Task Force and you have been pulled over for a random drug and alcohol test" he says no concern to me, been doing neither - as they were taking a swab an officer came to my car holding a walkie talkie and tells me that they are now going to book me for speeding i was like "oh man, is it 50 along here, i swear its always been a 60 zone?" a nerdy looking officer steps up to the car (with this vest that had like SO many pockets it was almost stupid) and shows me some hand held gadget displaying 81km/hr glaring at me on a big red screen "you were doing over 80... you are the only car on the road" he says but i was only doing 60, me thinks as EVERYONE on here knows there is a fair bit of difference between 60 and 80 kilometers per hour ...maybe 63 if my speedo is out, but 81!? absolute crap nothing i could do - they book me and my passenger reads that they have only stung me with $150 fine and 2 demerits count my blessings on a shit situation i guess PS: okay maybe a bit of a boo hoo, just feels like i have been screwed because a bunch officers in SWAT gear are bored of a saturday night
  3. um, okay so last night i noticed the light behind my turbo gauge continues to stay on like, all the time it's on the side pillar and it's the only gauge in that area. i have NO idea how long it's been doing this, but it feels a little warm to touch - not like "burst into flames" warm, but like "yep, that light sure is on" warm usually i leave car, turbo timer keeps going and everything "turning off" takes care of itself not anymore it would seem so how bad could this be on a scale of say, 10? 10 being "mang your cars prolly a molten mess by now" 1 being "i wish i had such a fly night-light" any help gets high fives ta..
  4. as i drove home from Bunbury today i was stopped at a police road block, not much to worry about i thought as i hadn't been drinking three police then approached the car, told me to pull over, to pop the hood and to stay in the car i watched them yank on all sorts of bits and pieces (they knew nothing about) mainly my pod filter after a few minutes of that and kicking my already taped front bar (damn rabbits) they started asking random questions "do you have a permit for the strut bar?" "you do realise your front is broken and taped?" "do you know the legal height for cars in WA?" "did you know your pod filter is loose... and long?" ...and so on. i just said to them: "look, the car was imported no more than like 3 years ago, i haven't changed anything since, it was put over the pits and consigned ON import and at that time i had to pay for a few things that needed to be changed, so surely if anything was wrong it would've been seen to then" an older officer told a younger officer to leave me be, but not before he shot off a "just be thankful we were packing up anyways" i am not against them checking up on rides and their mods, sure it kills a lot of peoples fun, but it IS the law by being polite and agreeable i feel as though i certainly dodged a yellow sticker is this the way it's going to be from here on in? do i have to explain ride heights and such to police endlessly? even though their cruiser looks lower than my car anyways or even, is there somewhere i can read up on this stuff, so that next time i can argue with a clear head knowing that my first trip over the pits was enough BTW this IS actually a request for help, not just a whine session so any advice would be greatly appreciated
  5. you serial? well, i guess i have a backup plan there... hopefully thanks
  6. nah, he mentioned he was just going to jack it up and get the tyre off i thought nothing of it after that, i didnt even think of how he may have done it until i remember seeing the hoist
  7. so yesterday i was about to get in my car and head out when i noticed that i had a flat - and i mean REALLY flat, almost on the rim it was just after 12:00 so like nothing was open (like many things in the glorious SW) so i rang around and found a guy at a local Ampol that can fix flats at that time of w/e, i get out the compressor, fill the tyre enough to get going and head downsome bearded man meets me out the front, he says he'll get the wheel off and dip it to see what the drama is and to leave it with him as he has to finish up on some (hick's) ute he's workin' on i come back, he tells me it'll be $35 and that he's dipped it and found that it had a large piece of metal buried in it and that he's plugged it. i look over the tyre to make sure i have all my lug nuts and such. then i go home, park the car and go inside - retiring the weekend as wasted, although my tyres are good to go. getting something out of my car today i notice a rattle as i close my drivers door. the friggin loon has used a two post hoist (i suggest) incorrectly and crunched my skirts!!! my drivers side worse, but both damaged! i called and took the car in, but he was closed today. before i use of swears and ruin my chances of him sorting this out in a civil manner, what leg do i have to stand on? i feel as though it's not my fault and why should i replace them (or even have them fixed) when i asked for a puncture sorted, not skirts smashed! any ideas would be greatly appreciated...
  8. nah man... surely not
  9. yeah man, i imported mine through Imports101 and i'd back them all the way Danny is professional, extremely helpful and really knows his shit
  10. yeah man, you did good swapped out the original globes for LEDs, made a huge difference thanks again
  11. LOL oh man, same here - they must've send them all out at once! but i got pinched doing 74 in a 60 zone, same fine and demerits though i even enquired with some Nyman Gibson lawyer guys online about their claim that almost any multinova rap is beatable, back when i initially saw the suspicious flash. a few emails back and forth and all i really got from it (without outlaying cash or time i could better spend laying down) was: "We are in NSW, and the law is no doubt different. However, if the WA people are using the same equipment they use over here, then they are NOT always right! If you are going to defend it, you want to get a copy of the maintenance logs for the particular camera to see if it has been regularly calibrated in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines, and see whether it has frequently broken down. Put it this way – they are not going to tell you unless you ask." ...bla bla boring sure sounded like it was going to be a lot of trouble to me, just cough up the money bro better than the fine getting any higher due to court costs, late fees or purely annoying the brass i already miss my clean record
  12. thanks man, i'll look into it

  14. my headlight indicators seem really dull the glass was pretty murky, so i gave them a polish much cleaner looking, but unless it's night time or an overcast day the actual indication is almost invisible - so, i guess it's also kinda dangerous had a few people pulling angry tard faces at me recently because "i wasn't indicating" so i was wondering is you guys had any ideas what the issue may be? ...bad wiring? ...time for new light units? ...is it maybe possible to install some indicators on my frontbar? BTW: don't mean to cover old ground i have read quite a few topics already up, but unhappy with info found
  15. had thought of mending it, but really would rather a new bar - with no cracks or touch ups many thanks for the link though
