  1. Motul Gear 300 = Brilliant for box
  2. Second pass over alloy bead, I'm assuming that u mean with out filler. I have done this when I messed up welding some 3mm to 10ish mm alloy in a vert fillet, It didn't look nice enough went over it and it still looks shocking. Flattens out all those lovely ripples.
  3. Cartorque in norwood (i think) are fulcrum agents eg. superpro and tein.
  4. Try this http://www.skylinegts.co.uk/Cambelt.htm

  6. Just looked at the pic again, yeah that turbine inlet is kinda small. Ok, so out of these options for 500-600hp. T04S (1.00AR) T67 aka T04R (1.00AR) Gt4088 (1.06AR) TO4S BB (1.00AR) if significantly better that journal bearing. Or any other options that maybe more suited at this price range.
  7. Here is another contender...... http://www.full-race.com/catalog/product_i...21d5de72d1c9905 More than I was looking to spend.. Ah well better keep saving.
  8. After a .bin for a R33 RB35DET.
  9. Can the std reg go farther than 350kw say if you remote mount it and twin feed a custom rail, I guess if you were to go to that much effort u'd prob go aftermarket. Basically a question of how much fuel can the std reg flow.
  10. I see that ur reg is still mounted in the engine bay, uras. Are u twin feeding the std rail? if so that should be of some benefit, well would be on a gtst at higher power levels
  11. Will look into the T4R on ATP website. The turbo I was thinking about was a Gt4088 journal bearing with an ATP 1.06 AR Divided turbine housing. Probably to go on a RB25/30.
  12. Thinking about the T04S with the 1.00 divided housing. http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/merchant...tegory_Code=TBN Remember reading that the newer GT Journal turbos were more resposive than these with the P trim turbine.
  13. Cheers lithium, I agree that a GT3582R will do 600hp, However I was thinking bout Journal Bearing for a large single. Mainly due to the fact that the garrett GT Journal series seems to be good value for this power level. I understand that they maybe laggier than the BB Units, It's a compromise that I can live with.
  14. looking at the comp map for the GT4082 it doesn't seem to have enough flow for 600Hp. could be wrong. is there anyone out there using this turbo getting 600Hp. http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarre...82_452232_5.htm I feel that the GT4088 is more suited to 600Hp, but is the 1.06 AR turbine is too big for a RB25.
  15. I Think that you misunderstood. I'm not saying that it's all that I can afford. what I meant was that I don't feel that I need to spend $2000 on a turbo when that one would do the trick. I could use the difference for some other part of the build. Now if it cost very simmilar coin to build a built RB25/30 to a built RB25, I am thinking that the hybrid will get a GT4088 onto boost that little quicker. So it is not the overall cost of the project that is of concern, it is the cost to benefit of modifications that concerns me.
  16. http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/merchant...gory_Code=GTNBB Am thinking bout buying this as the aussie dollar is so high, ATM I have an rb25, i'll have to put in stronger internals so I may go a RB25/30. Should I buy this one or a GT4082. I know that they are journal bearing but that doesn't really concern me, I like em cause their cheap.
  17. Some day it will be MINE!!!!!! That is NICE!
  18. Thanks guys, How true! I guess it makes not a lot of sense to change the rail mounted reg. to returnless. Maybe different if it had a factory returnless system.
  19. Has anyone tried running pressure reg. at the pump when using external pumps and surge tank. basically a question about the lag in the line for the pressure reg. I know that my old commodore had a similar setup but I doubt it was a rising rate reg.
  20. Motul Gear 300, bout $30 a litre. worth every penny!
  21. Interesting, Didn't think this topic would surface again. I had the too many points in my charts before ^^60 not ^^6F, there are only 16 points not 32 thus the rpm scale is in 400 rpm increments. The divide by 10 to convert to dwell % was gleened for some ecu tuning forum somewhere. This appears not to be the case thankfully as 25.5% seemed to be max dwell duty % before. so i guess i need to work out the constant to convert from ecu values in dec to dwell duty %. will post back later.
  22. I made an error before you would double the k value if AFM was only measuring Half the air. Just thought I'd fix that up...
  23. Hey careless u still need RB30 engine specs. lexus V8, 2JZ are square engines can't see anyone complaining bout those engines!
