  1. Hey dude Have you done a compression test?
  2. Will trade 1x xbox controller, gears of war (no case), AMD 3000+ cpu (no heatsink) and $40 cash.
  3. Still at work until these guys clean my server room. RE: Games - I bought BF3 the day it came out, played BF2 and had high hopes for it. After I finally got it to install I think it's pretty good, I haven't really played to much of it but I think I'm close to the end now. I think last mission I did was where the main bad dude died on the plane after you rescue him. MW3 I'm not too phased on, it looks more of a console shooter than a PC game. I have only played the modern warfare series on 360. Call of Duty 2 though, is still hands down one of the best games I've played on PC.
  4. Front yard mechanic pro tip: Check to see if the Oring comes off the old oil filter before you put the new one on. In other news, there's further developments to having a 26 powered veehick-le in my g-raj .
  5. Must be engine fire weekend or something I have a bit of a problem with my taxi at the moment - we have pulled the gauges out of my car and one of them was an oil temp one, so I took the sandwich plate out (the one between the oil filter and the block) and fitted a new oil filter on. First of all it started leaking ALOT, tightened it up and it was fine. Went for a drive and it started driving like crap, got home and it had dropped the oil again. I'm wondering if when they have fitted the oil temp sandwich plate in, have they removed something that was meant to be there before hand? Does anyone know if there's a stock plate that's meant to be sitting there? It's a Barra 182 from a XR6. This afternoon I'm going to bang the old sandwich plate back on to get it going again, hopefully..... it works. If the engine is blown I might as well pull it out and put a barra 240T in there, might buy a 32 pig or something if that happens.
  6. I hear grosvenor is alright.. thegrosvenorongeorge.com.au
  7. What events took place to spark the eviction? Last time I was there it was 5 or 6 of us standing around consuming assorted iced products and I believe someone had KFC.
  8. At my previous job, my boss bought a compound bow for fun and would go up to the range in albany creek to have a few shots etc. He brought it out one friday afternoon, jesus christ those things have some power behind them. You certainly wouldn't want to be standing in front of it, especially when I'm holding it. Also didn't realise how much tension there is required to get it going.
  9. Waiting for the OK and I might actually bring a car with an RB to ikes cream in the near future.
  10. I honestly wouldn't relocate or work up there full time in my field. The work is better but there's only a 10k site allowance on top of usual salary now if I was on the usual 5/2 roster for the bowen basin, I'd be getting on a flight on a friday night and flying back sunday night, with a group of mates here and into cars etc, I'm not sure the extra $80 a week is really worth it which is why I go up there for the occasional switch upgrade every once and a while, it works out better financially as they pay for flights up and back whereas normally you would be on your own there. I should also add that IT are the lowest paid on site.
  11. They're also dropkicks. I've been up there a few times and they certainly work for their money .. well most of them do anyway. Talking 12 - 16 hour shifts for 7 days in a row with 3 days off, or alternate rosters such as 5 on 2 off etc. My favourite is 7 on 7 off but that's either Mt Isa or Groote Eyelandt. I think a lot more people here in Brisbane are catching onto it, certainly a lot of the younger guys are anyway. Mackay 5 / 6 years ago when I moved up there was hard to find rent for our family when I was living with my Mum, I'd hate to imagine it now considering how flooded it is with young guys and HR licenses.
  12. If you know anyone in that area, I'm willing to pay for their time to drive out there etc. I thought it looked a little bit dodgy due to it being "stock" and for some reason having carbon bits on the exterior and through the interior, as well as the engine being too clean to be 15 years old. Having said that though, could have just been given a full detail when it was brought into the country. He says he has 12months rego, I might send him an email today and ask more about it. I will have to drive it back to brisbane so I'm hoping it won't fall apart 20 k's down the road. It seemed dodgy because it looks just too good to be true, considering the cleaner, *low* km ones are about 23-26. Having said that it I'd be kicking myself if next week someone else posts up they got it for a steal and it's in tip top condition. Mackay... ugh. I lived there from year 11 - year 12. At our year 12 graduation I was surprised at the lack of ambition amongst the kids there. We were asked to say what we wanted to do after school and the presenter would read it out as we came on the stage to accept the certificate. 98% of the girls said "Become a hairdresser and marry a rich miner" 98% of the guys said "Get a trade and work in the mines." Needless to say I jumped ship that day and drove to Brisbane (on my L's whattuppppp) 4 years on I'm now IT for BHP.. so I guess I went the same way haha.
  13. asdfghjkl Anyone know some reliable SAU people in Sydney/Vic who want to go look at a car for me? And why does this car smell of dodgy - My link
  14. 31-FTW this afternoon near Carseldine station.
  15. Looks like a nice clean car, good luck with it in the future. One thing though, you said you knew someone by the name of Keaton? Well that's my first name, I'm yet to meet anyone with the same first name yet!
  16. Have a fridge/freezer combo. 100 bucks, works etc Edit: full list of stuff - Basically there's 2 matching outdoor white couches, 2 florally green 2 seater couches, one 3 seater couch would suit outdoors as it's not too appealing, chuck a sheet on she'll be right. If you want you can come around and have a look at what you want. Alot of the stuff was all sort of bought off friends parents etc as first house sorta stuff. It's not worth a lot but I figure its better than taking perfectly good sitting devices to the tip.
  17. Any mangs want some furniture? Gf is moving to nsw and is selling alot of the furniture.
  18. Now with 100% less woman, means savings for those long life committments could be going to something in midnight purple instead. I've been saying that for years now though haha. Not familiar with Lotus but it was a silver one, no roof.
  19. Retoast worthy. How have the mangs been? Dan, I saw you chilling in a lotus at the lights in the valley the other day!
  20. Noticed something about the F430 today - is it just me or do they have some sort of variable exhaust on them? Seems like there's a delay in the loudness.
