  1. Sorry for getting of topic. I can get a gtr engine for $2490.00 would this be a better option. I know that i will have to use new intake and exhaust manifolds , well i would use the stock intake and have Kyle from 6 boost build me a new manifold for the rb26det. The motor is from a r32 so i would need new water pump and oil pump, but here's the thing I have a new n1 water pump and Greedy high flow oil pump for a rb25det. Can these pumps work on the rb26dett motors, and do i need to run a crank coller on the rb26 motor, also do i need the oil restrictor between the head and block. Does anyone know what all mods i will need for this set up to get me hp goals of (about 600hpatw) This head is great from what i've hear, it uses the solid lifter set up, and as a add bonus i can make a gts power fc work on a gtr. In the past, using a jumper harness i made a gtr power fc work in a gtst. just lost VCT. But this option seems smart to me, I would just us some new supertech valve springs in the head and us some new cams as well. The block I can put rods and cp pistons in it. Are all the main and con rod bearings the same from a gts to a gtr????? Because i have all new ACL race bearings for a GTST, and if its the same then i allready have some bearing. I would just need crank coller installed.

  3. Wouldn't I need new intake manifolds to go with the NEO head. ??????? I've herd of the exhaust and intake manifolds have different bolt patterns. If i can find a Neo head i would just get a Tomie Strocker Kit, with oil pump. Well its just a thought, buy the NEo head sound good. Its just if it shares the same manifolds. ???? Thanks again mate.

  5. ok i made my mind up here is what i'm going to do. I will buy a long block from ebay. Bore this block to 86.5mm bore, leave somthing for later if this happens again. Eagle rods cp pistons 8.5:1 insted of the old stock compression ratio. ACL bearings Main and Rod, Head gasket Tomie Main and head Studs ARP N1 or GReedy oil pump, May use greddy, i have a new one. N1 water pump new. Use back hks timing belt. For the head Suptech +1mm o/s valves solid in and ex Supertech dual valve springs and retainers. Supertech valve seals Supertech solid lifter conversion kit Tomie cams dont know lift yet (any recommendations) Tomie cam gears. Crank coller Jun oil restrictors in block. This list isn't including parts that was on the motor before like split fire coils, HKS twin power, Haltech PS2000, 6boost manifold, Tial 44mm wategate, AMS GT950R turbo, Custom 100mm intake and TB, top feed 800cc injectors. External fuel pump rated at 1000hp. and a whole lot more. My mistake with my last engine was to much boost on pump gas. My friend detination came knocking. lol. It lasted for about one and a half years at 26 psi on pump 91 octain if that. This time only 15psi on pump gas and 30 with c16 in the cell. I will take pic's of every step and up date everyone. But now that i now of this site please give me your recommendations, you guy's build this motor. Just tell me and i'll do it. One part of the build i'm lost about is the cam specs, what you you all think i should do. What duration lift and degree should i run for this hp. ?????? thanks again guy's
  6. I dont feel that its that bad, but i can feel it when i rub my finger nail on it. Do you think i can order some new pistons .015 over ther .40 bore. so i'm guessing here it would be .415 bore over stock. Then do as you say, a finishing hone. thanks.
  7. Happy new years everyone. My year has started bad. my built motor just died, and a little part of me too. Can GTR pistons work in a GTST, i ask because i bored my stock block to .40, 1mm 87mm over size, but now the pistons are damaged do to detonation. So i would like to bore it ,to get the bore clean again, to .50 or 1.5mm over stock so that will bring the bore to 1.5mm, 87.5mm Now everytime i look for gtst pistons it goes only to 87mm, and the GTR goes all the way to 88mm. I'm looking for 85.5mm bore. does anyone know if it will work????

  9. Hi mate Can you provide a link with the setup that you mentioned. I'm saerching for it with no luck. With the 5k i have for the head build, i feel that the set up that you mentioned makes a lot of sence. Its a comprehensive kit inc, o/s valves, dual valve springs, solid buckets,titanium retainers etc This kit do you have a link for it.??????????????? Thanks in advance mate.
  10. Thanks Mate. So seeing how i have to change all manifold hot and cold side, it would be easier to just convert to solid set up. I have a problem finding some one that can do it. I tried RED RACING, But it seems like they are just to busy. They never reply to me. Who did yours???? Well can the GTR's solid lifters work in the gtst's head.???? or do i need tomie set (witch i had in mind.) What would the valve clearance be with the solid set up.???? I was planning on building the head with 1mm over size valves, new guides, valve and springs with retainers, solid lifter convertion, port and polish, and new cam's. I'm willing to spend 5k on the head if need be. Thanks agian mate.
  11. Hi mate. I have a 1995 Nissan skyline with an RB25det motor. Now the car is highly modified. One of the problem’s that I’m experiencing is hydraulic lifter failing. I run about 30psi with a Haltech E.C.U. I’m sick of this lifter set up, and I’ve learnt that the GTR has solid lifters. Now I have heard of RB30’s running GTS-T head’s. Now is it possible for a GTS-T to run a GTR head.????? (RB25DET block using GTR head) I would like to use the solid lifter setup because of the speed in witch the RPM’s rises. Do you guy’s feel that this is the solution to my problems. After about 4500 rpm’s it’s uncontrollable. It just bounces of the redline mark. (7500) I know if I get rid of the GTS-T head, I will be loosing VTC. Well the motor right now has a stock head, and I’m planning on using some cams in the GTR’s head if I can use it. If this is possible can you tell me what modifications I will have to do to get it to work? Thanks mate.

  13. ok mate i looked at Mat's video on youtube and these are my questions. So i hook the timing light up to the #1 cylinder ( start the car), and since my rb25det stock timing is 15 deg BTDC i would line the 15 deg mark on the crank pully up to the mark on the timing cover. If its not lined up when i start the car. i would need to adjust the triggering angle, until it lines up to the 15 deg mark. then this 15 deg would be locked in ignition lock. ( is this right.)?????????? What should the light read after setting it, when i rev the car.?????????????

I just installed a new Haltech ps2000, but i dont know how to set my injector's up so i just added 1.60 ms to the whole voltage axis. please take a look at what i did in the attached pics.How can i go about finding the ms at different voltage points. this is the link to the injector type and size http://www.rhdjapan....-top-feed-13006 thanks mate.
  15. Hi do you have to plug the ps2000 ecu in the car (12volts) Then use the usb cable to see all the settings? I down loaded the data logger and the manager software from the provided cd, unlike the power fc i saw nothing in the folders. If some one can answer this question, it would really be helpfull. When i get gome i'll plug it in the car and then take a look at the program once i plug up the usb cable to it. Ok first setting for intial setup hall effect sensor home and trigger settings Injector dead time setting 1.60ms lag time (sard 800cc injectors) set to internal map sensor (no maf) am i missing anything? I will post pics later on of the unit, and screen shots of my settings. Thanks again mates.
  16. Thanks again Mate. I use similar type crimping at work and I might be able to do the wires myself. I'll just need the pins. Only if this tool was made by haltech witch I dout, it looks to be the same. Do anyone knows if haltech does, or can supply a new harness? Also haltech had to subcontract a company that makes the pins and crimping tool, if anyone has any info on the connectors and pins, the world would be gratefull. I've been reading up on this ecu (haltech ps2000) and it has so much things that the power gc doesn't have post staring, injector dead time, injector trim, mate I have a lot of learning to do. One thing I found intresting is how you have to synchronize the ecu with the motor, I'm refering to the ignition setup. I wonder why the power didn't need to do this. Has anyone did an ignition setup on a rb25? It states that to sync the timing set lock timing to ON, and then crank engine with plugs out of course. Then using a timing light on number one cylinder, adjust the tooth offset and trigger angle until timing reads 10 degrees as viewed with a timing light on crank pully. Now the skyline, to what I know doesn't have tooth Aka tooth offset. I know of the 3 bolts that holds the cam angle sensor in postion. Is that what it means. Also and numbers for timing sync can be used 0 or anything positive. Can I load the power fc maps both fuel and ignition to the PS2000, Thanks again, and please teach me I'm a quick learner, and would be happy to teach what I learn. This ecu is a good investment for me more than my car. From what I gather so far the power fc is geared to one car at a time, and this ecu is geared to a wider range of car, that is why there are so much settings. Don't know if that a right statement. I'm willing to read even pay for classes on the pending matters. Where can I get more reading materials from, and does haltech have a online training class, I heard of somthing like this, or it might have been for the motec stuff.
  17. Thanks mate. I don't know why they couldn't say it like that. One more quick qestion, I'm running a rb25det with patch harness ( H11PR32) if I was to use all the fetures of this ecu I would need another harness with all the pins in it right. Looking at the 34 and 26 pin connectors they are missing some pins. I'm thinking that these are for added opions, but being missing I will need new ones?
  18. In the manual for the haltech ps2000 subsection trigger setup. I would like to know what kind of cam sensor is it? What type and discription. I will type what it is asking. Set the crank and cam ( trigger and home) angle sensor type and discription in the trigger setup page. If using a hall effect or optical style crank sensor then set trigger type to hall effect. In most stand alone applications the trigger pullup will need to be set to on when using a hall effect crank sensor. In piggy back applictions the pullup will be set to off. Trigger pullup will be set to off for all reluctor ( sine wave) style trigger inputs. That it, that's all under trigger setup. Now what does home mean or refers to? Also I'm guessing that we don't use a hall sensor, and I know that we don't have a crank sensor, and when these refer to trigger that's the signal from the cam sensor that triggers the ignition and fuel, in other words it reads all the inputs from the cam sensor so that the ecu can give the proper outputs. Right or wrong? So my cam sensor is the triggering unit, but what type and discription. This is proberbly be a dumb question too what is a reluctor? I will google it, just thought that I would ask.   20. hi mates I'm building a new motor and i just got a crank collar, From the machinest point of view what does it take to installe one of these collars.? Also with this new collar i'm using a greddy high flow oil pump, do you think that this will be a good set up for about 500- 600hp. Around 8000rpms. I have red on this site that oil is what kills the RB motors. Will this setup be good enough? Looking at redracing the external oil pump set up is about 4k, but do i really need that, or will the greddy pump and collar work fine?
  21. But where can i get one from. I damaged mine, I then opened up a friends hand held controller for an evo,and removed his LCD display, and it worked in my skyline unit. This is why i'm looking for Just the display rather than buying the whole hand controller. From what i gather all the LCD displays are the same and can be interchanged.

  23. does anyone know the torque specs for the cam that hold the camshaft down?, The last engine that i did i just felt it, I pulled them all to 15 foot pounds. thanks again. Oh is there a arp stud kit that is avalible for these caps. I've seen GTR from japan with studs insted of bolts. Thanks mate.

Hi there mate in the event that anyone wants to buy lifters for there rb25det, the link has them for 408 dollars for a set of 24 FYI the lifters are the same as a 300zx twin turbo Z32 model. 1990-1996.
