I just got my Ogura Racing Clutch Dampered, Silent, High Friction version instaled by a renowned tuner shop.
However, there have been some concerns.
Firstly, there is no way I can take of smoothly other than revving it to about 1.5-2k and then slowly feathering the clutch. Otherwise the car will shudder badly. I have been through many manual cars so I doubt its driver error.
Second, I notice that it is difficult to engage gears when the car comes to a stop. I have to almost forcefully push it into gear at times. Many times I get locked out of reverse. However, when I turn off the car shifting is smooth as butter or when I just turn on the car, it shifts smoothly too. The second I take off and come to a stop like a stop sign or traffic light, it becomes really hard to get into gear.
Can anyone please advise me on this issue?
My car is a skyline 350gt, temperature does not affect this issue. I have warmed the car up long enough and the problem still, persists. This is the 3rd clutch on this car. The car has only 15k miles. I had the clutch changed the first time for a lightweight flywheel and then changed it again because there was too much chatter.
Thank you
