  1. Just wandering if any has tried the roof racks from this place http://www.iracksonline.com.au/nissan/stagea/m35/prorack-roof-racks-nissan-stagea-m35-2001-2007-rail-mount-s5/ Or know of any places that do roof racks the NM35's.
  2. I was only going to replace faulty sensor but keep spares (always handy). I am going to get the intermittently faulty sensor from Nissan dealer, and order the rest from CZP so I have em on hand.
  3. Damn.....the hard one to get to. Just got a scanner on it and reports cam sensor bank 1.
  4. I am not planning to...unless I have no other option. Just rang 2 dealers in Perth and one wanted $625 for all 3 (talk about butt hurt), the other $550.
  5. So after starting and running like a dream all of yesterday. The damn thing started playing up again. It seems to fault only after the engine is at operating temps. Hopefully going to get it on a scanner today to confirm. Got a price on both cam sensors and crank sensor (figured handy to have on hand) - $580 + $25 if i want the parts this week.
  6. Well I cleaned the connector on passenger side (bank 1 yeah?) And since then I have started about 6-8 times with no issue. *fingers crossed* Might see is Nissan in Perth (family flying up for wedding) have any and get them as spares. The Nissan dealer up here is fckn useless at the best of times.
  7. I am soo hoping it is nothing major. In 1 week we have our wedding an the stag is required. Might clean the AFM and connectors to the cam sensors. Might ask around and see if anyone up here has a consult to suit that I can borrow.
  8. My missus drove home today telling me that the stag had an issue with turning on when she was coming home from the shops and there is an engine light. So I went out and got the fault code, which made no sense, it had 10 slow flashes, then 340, then back to 10 slow flashes, weird....as normally it is 4 lots of quick flashes with a decent pause between the sets. http://youtu.be/HuO487GeEbQ - Here is a video of the fault code and the starting issues. It just turns over and over until it starts, when it starts it runs fine. Feel no loss in power. However just then i took it for a bit of a burn into the city and it cut out once while slowing down for traffic lights. Started straight back up with no issue. Any thoughts? I am thinking either bad fuel causing a sensor to report errors or maybe AFM? Only reason why I mention fuel is because I recently put United Premium 98 (with 10% ethanol) as I was trying it out because BP Ultimate has hit 203.9 p/ltr up here. United up here have a rep of sometimes having "watered" down fuel.

  12. So you have no power getting to the loom that the headunit runs off? And if you do have power, is it stable and not fluctuating?
  13. Yeah, this normally happens when the board is put into "locked" status. I am also more than happy to help with free hosting.
  14. Got the Stagea back from the Auto-Elec yesterday, a big chunk of wiring loom got replaced and everything is running sweet once again. Taken it for a few drives with no problem. So great warning for people, make sure you clean out your drainage points regularly because its not worth the problems if you don't.
  15. So Stagea's have terrible drainage points? Or no drainage points?
  16. They reckon they have found a loom of wiring that is corroded really bad near the location of the battery with water pooling. They cutting it out now and going to replace that section and going to keep the old section to show me.
  17. That's what I was thinking. Lol. They come highly recommended around town and alot of business gave em a good wrap. Probably just lazy to look.
  18. Auto Electrician rang to ask where diagnostic port is. Can anyone tell me where exactly the port is on a NM35 Stagea? I just said "have you looked around the driver n passenger foot wells?"
  19. Ok - Done some more driving and testing and I think the issue is an electrical short - which I think killed my last throttlebody. I did some driving around and I can't explain why it died the time the last post of mine was made (was driving with no A/C - turned it on then 2mins later the engine light came on). But I found a way that always gets the throttlebody to fault. After clearing the last fault code: I drove for about 22mins then I turned on the fan drove for another 13mins then turned on the A/C (manual). drove for 9mins then turned on Auto (Climit Control) drove for 7mins then turned on the headlights - Fault came up straight away. Cleared the code and drove for another 5mins, turned on the headlights - fault came up again. cleared fault and drove for another 10mins, turned on headlights - fault came up straight away. clearned fault and drove home (5mins) - everything fine. I am going to take the car to an auto-electrician tomorrow and see if I can get them to see if there is a short somewhere (while leaving the throttle body disconnect so this one doesn't die on me).
