  1. Did you have the SAFC II retuned after you intalled the cams? Im guessing that you should get someone to look at your timing and air fuel ratios.
  2. I'd go and get the AFR's checked out at the higher boost levels, but i'd have to say that the Mines computer isn't doing your engine any favours on Australian fuel, especially at higher boost levels. If you want more boost, you should really look at changing ECUs (maybe revert to a standard computer) or even testing different fuels.
  3. The exact same thing happened to me about a year ago. You need to rewire(return the wiring to its original configuration) the ecu, or remove the wire remining from the safc. Your standard ecu still thinks the safc is connected and hence the dodgy signals being sent to the ecu. Unfortunatley i cant tell you exactly how to do this because i had my mechanic fix the problem at the time. The reason why the car is spluttering so hard is because your ecu is overfueling the engine. Hope this helps, Jason
  4. Thanks for the help guys. I was able to eventually find some cars. Im not sure if my fiance will take too kindly to 40 skylines showing up at our wedding, its hard enough getting her to accept one. Thanks for the offer though....
  5. I was at a weding on the w/e that had a blue 360 conv. and Ford Shelby Cobra. I didn't really think much of the Ferrari though, blue just didn't suit it. Anyway, im finding it really hard to find modern wedding cars does anyone know of anywhere? Thanks for the suggestion Merli, but i've tried that already..
  6. Hi Guys, I was just wondering if anyone knew of any places that hired out modern wedding cars ie, new mercs, bmw's. i was hoping to try and find some in white. Thanks, Jason
  7. Hi Guys, Im pretty sure CRD in Silverwater use datalogit or something very similar. It may be worth giving them a call?? Jason
  8. Spot on Staunch, "and if they were? it doesn't matter what origin they are from, the point is they are idiots for doing what they did. " Not wanting to start any sort of racial debate, it just shows how ill informed and narrow minded some people are. Conan why didn't you ask Roy the same question, "were these people of middle eastern appearance" Hmmm, i wonder why????? The fact that the wankers were so persistent would have frieghtened any one of us on thia forum. But hey their's not all that much that can be done about it. Atleast nothing came of it.
  9. Brilliant review, thanks mate !!
  10. I had the same problem. Once i hit full boost it would start to splutter at around 4000rpm - 5000rpm. Once i installed my pfc it removed the splutering completely. But yes it can also be the afm.
  11. Sorry, i should have said either the turbo, wastegate or bleed valve.
  12. I have a front mount with a turbosmart bleed valve and standard turbo. My boost drops from about 12psi to 10 psi between 6500rpm - 7000rpm. Im pretty sure in my case its either the wastegate or bleed valve because everything is relatively efficient ie, new dump pipe/exhaust, HKS filter, PFC. Hope that helps,
  13. Just regrding CAS. I got my car tuned their. It took Jim about 1-2 hours and i ended up paying $700. Whether it was worth that much i dont know, but i am more than happy with the result (186.7kw @ 12psi). Oz GTR it really depends how serious you are about performance, if you want the best than it is very hard to go past Jim at CAS. I really do think you get what you pay for.
