Did you have the SAFC II retuned after you intalled the cams? Im guessing that you should get someone to look at your timing and air fuel ratios.

I'd go and get the AFR's checked out at the higher boost levels, but i'd have to say that the Mines computer isn't doing your engine any favours on Australian fuel, especially at higher boost levels. If you want more boost, you should really look at changing ECUs (maybe revert to a standard computer) or even testing different fuels.

The exact same thing happened to me about a year ago. You need to rewire(return the wiring to its original configuration) the ecu, or remove the wire remining from the safc. Your standard ecu still thinks the safc is connected and hence the dodgy signals being sent to the ecu. Unfortunatley i cant tell you exactly how to do this because i had my mechanic fix the problem at the time. The reason why the car is spluttering so hard is because your ecu is overfueling the engine. Hope this helps, Jason

I was at a weding on the w/e that had a blue 360 conv. and Ford Shelby Cobra. I didn't really think much of the Ferrari though, blue just didn't suit it. Anyway, im finding it really hard to find modern wedding cars does anyone know of anywhere? Thanks for the suggestion Merli, but i've tried that already..

I had the same problem. Once i hit full boost it would start to splutter at around 4000rpm - 5000rpm. Once i installed my pfc it removed the splutering completely. But yes it can also be the afm.

Sorry, i should have said either the turbo, wastegate or bleed valve.

I have a front mount with a turbosmart bleed valve and standard turbo. My boost drops from about 12psi to 10 psi between 6500rpm - 7000rpm. Im pretty sure in my case its either the wastegate or bleed valve because everything is relatively efficient ie, new dump pipe/exhaust, HKS filter, PFC. Hope that helps,

Just regrding CAS. I got my car tuned their. It took Jim about 1-2 hours and i ended up paying $700. Whether it was worth that much i dont know, but i am more than happy with the result (186.7kw @ 12psi). Oz GTR it really depends how serious you are about performance, if you want the best than it is very hard to go past Jim at CAS. I really do think you get what you pay for.

Yeah i realise that Steve. As it is i struggle to get traction on the street so i won't be launching too hard, and considering i havent changed the clutch on my car yet (i've had it 4 years / 70 000kms), i think its due for a change. I just want to weigh up my options before hand so that when the clutch eventually lets go i know what to get.

Im making just under 190rwkw, but i thougt i'd get something that would allow some extra scope for future mods. But i think your right, i'll just wait for this clutch to let go and see what happens..... Thanks for the help... Jason

Had the same problem. Installed a power fc and it was gone. Highly likely its the stock ecu.

Yeah i heard back from him yesterday. I've still got a few questions before i make my decision. I just want to make sure that im getting what im paying for, the whole reason i chose the fc was so that i get a quality unit (i hope)......

But what happens if the stuff he sends over are duds? Is there any guarntee besides his reputation that he will send the stuff over?

Have you had any first hand experience with him?? I emailed him earlier today, so hopefullly i'll hear from him soon....

Hi All, I was just wondering if anyone knows of where i can get a power fc from for a good price. Does Louie (i hope thats his name??) still sell them. Im after one for a 1994 R33 GTS. Im not too fussed if its new or second hand but it must be in immaculate cond. My current mods are: TRUST cat back exhaust Custom dump HKS air Turbosmart t piece (12-13 psi) FMIC Had a SAFC but it was stolen. Your help is much appreciated
