yea it is a bit of a pain but they've got to send the measurements away to the UNI Filter manufacturer interstate, get them to cut it to the specifications and then send it back, etc etc But hey, for $35 and its washable (unlike genuine HKS replacement), I ain't complaining!
-
cheers Richo, but not my car anymore...sadly. Imported it as is from Japan about 2 years ago, had it here for a week not even complianced yet and someone else saw it in the workshop and made me an offer I couldn't refuse, so to speak, lol. Last I heard it got sold interstate, but yea it was sweet looking! At the moment I've got a TT Soarer, doesn't handle like a Line but plenty of balls and you can't beat the luxury!!
-
I almost forgot, if you're not happy with that option I found out after that JMS stocks em, they're about $70. Just check out the website.
-
hey richo, had exactly the same problem man. Went down to Autosport on Magil road, they don't stock HKS, but what they did do was measure my orginal filter and then had an exact replacement made out of the UNIfilter element. Pulls just as hard as before, if not better, and best of all is completely washable and reusable, unlike HKS. Gets better though, price...$35! PM me for details and I'll put you on to the guy I dealt with, he's really good!

Know any decent Paint/Panel shops in adelaide?
MXT Imports replied to Murry33's topic in South Australia
trust me, do not accept the first price he gives you, he will go cheaper if you hold out! -

i think generally colour change you can get away with about 3k, but that's not including the door jambs or engine bay. Shop around, I hear REM Motorbody on Glyndeburn road does some pretty good work for reasonable prices, just remember to haggle! -

price wise I would suggest anywhere between 2 - 3k would probably get you a nice respray. At the end of the day you get what you pay for, so don't skimp on quality just to save a few bucks cos you will regret it after, just my 2c. Having said that, I've heard good things about Paul from Provident Crash Repairs on Provident St, just off glynburn road. -
hey, not sure about the Vertex kit (didn't think they made one for R33??) but if you are after a kit in Adelaide, try Simon from Adelaide Road Rage on Unley Road or Viva Garage, they've got pretty wide selections plus they fit and spray.

Count me in, TT Soarer + I've got a plenty of othe mates with imports (S15, R33, Cefiro, etc.) who I'm sure would be keen.

EOI: '92 TT Soarer (modified)
MXT Imports replied to MXT Imports's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
*bump* -
Hey guys and girls, I know its not a Line, but thinking about selling my '92 model modified TT Soarer. Located in Adelaide, 18 inch BSA shadow chrome 5-spoke rims (excellent condition, not a scratch and 90% tread), lowered on King springs, custom twin-system cat-back exhaust with cannon mufflers, custom FMIC, HKS Pod Filter with custom s/s intake pipe, UAS Front Strut Brace, UAS super white/blue headlights, Pioneer MP3 stereo with JBL aftermarket speakers, boost guage, new NGK spark plugs gapped to 8mm, 2-Point Immobiliser with in-built turbo timer. Interior is immaculate, exterior is in good condition with some minor scratches here and there. Can have the more major stuff fixed if necessary. Just over 115k, done the major service, first Australian owner, this car is fantastic, no problems at all, only selling to fund overseas trip, Very reluctant sale. Looking for around $17,500 ono with rims, 15,500 ono with standard wheels and new tyres. Email me with any questions or offers at [email protected] cheers, Tom

S15's please give some opinions
MXT Imports replied to twoquik's topic in General Automotive Discussion
yea my mate has got one as well, reasonable modified, very quick! I think its pushing around the vicinity of 200+rwk. Very comfortable inside too, wicked seats and you can't beat that new car feel! Plus as ABuSD said, you can't beat the realiability of a new car over say one that's 5 - 10 years old. Only complaint is that because its such a light car, at high speeds it can feel quite unstable but he's hoping a set of coilovers will fix that. Other than that would definitely recommend one!! -
Try your local council, if there isn't one there they can generally find out where one is. Worked for me a number of times
-
Hey, how cheap do you mean? I think my mate has got a VB/VH?? commodore for sale, pretty sure its only a 202. It's in pretty good nick and drives quite well, I can find out more if you're interested?

Hey, do you know if this ECU will fit into other Jap cars, i.e. 1JZ-GTE TT Soarer. Also, what benefits does this ECU offer, fuel cut? boost cut? And finally, how easy are they to get tuned and are there many places who can tune them? Definitely interested, so please let me know. Cheers -
what about Adelaide Road Rage on Prospect Road? I havn't dealt with them personally but have heard good things about them and I'm sure you could score a decent bargain if you're offer cash
-
That's fantastic news Tim! I hope he continues to show rapid improvement! Please everybody, keep your eyes out for anything out of the ordinary and report anything you think is suspect, we have to get these losers off our streets!
-
Hey Tim, really sorry to hear about Damien, please pass on our thoughts and prayers to his family and girlfriend. As a fellow Adelaide dweller and human being this really f**ks me off that some innocent person has to suffer such a personal tragedy and for what? I hope the locals catch that f**kn wank stain before the cops do and show them what a piece of cement feels like at full force! Again Tim, we're all keeping Damien in our thoughts and prayers and I sincerely hope that he recovers as quickly as possible
