Settings, id say exhaust: 4deg retard, and intake: 2deg advance. good idea to check it with a timing light when done. probably take it easy driving around with this setup on an untuned ecu too. -rb25 -
i think i know what you mean and i have the same noise. i installed a catch can on the inlet manifold and the afm pipes and mounted them on the fire wall and the sound is much more audible through the car now. not too sure what it is, maybe the PCV valve opening and closing? -rb25

:werd: DAVE HSV. I had a really bad experience with a 2000 gen3 v8 calais. I'd rather forget about the many many thousands of dollars lost on that car which i owned for only 4 months, it was that bad. -rb25

sure, you can get big horsepower out of these motors DAVE HSV, but you're forgetting that holdens and fords are very unreliable heaps of shit and break really easily. I know from personal experience like many other forum users here who have been converted to other alternative makes of performance cars. -rb25

to add to the thread, i recently put a powerfc in and am getting really good fuel economy. best on the highway was 11L/100km and worst was 20L/100km, lots of WOT. The car makes 170kw atm (rb25 of course). -rb25
