Yotis: gav's private matters arent really a good forum discussion topic. keep it on the low. i had a beer with gav yesterday arvo and hes looking at extending his workshop into next door and setting up a hoist for gt-r work only and a 4wd dyno.

i watched some old r33 drag racing vids and theres a few runs on a wet tarmac, anyway, this 33 gt-r does an 11.3 1/4 and is revving to 10grand. huge redline.

im not too sure if i need a new cam belt but i think for 80bux i'll just replace it. it'll bed into the new rollers better than a used one. got that new cam gear on there too.

lol. my mate came around with his commodore ute tonight all pumped up about the new vx engine in it, went for a drive and it just has nothing on the skyline! anyway, later we went to get a feed and took my car, gave it a bit and he just turns to me and say "**** i wish my ute went like yours and justins cars!". lol

you can tell theyre stuffed when youve gotten the engine warm for a while, pull up and can hear a weird knock/squeak from the front of the engine obviously. mine started the shit last night.

ive owned some bad cars too and this one has NEVER failed me had vt v8 commodores and falcons, all shit cars, poor build quality and under-powered engines for what they are imho.

i retarded the base timing but it starts like a bucket of shite with retarded timing so i put it back and im taking it easy now.

the ****ing things been detonating at 0.3bar at 3000rpm in 3rd only detonated twice. im driving like grandma now, it hasnt seen past 0bar. its killing me!

had it for 2 years now. did exhaust and pod when i first got it and it was like that until 2 -3 weeks ago.

im working very hard to build up mod money atm. had a small setback with the car going in on friday to have the cam belt re-done with the bearings this time. get em to do oil too. then ill do plugs just before the pfc tune. all should happen in the next 2 weeks with any luck.
