To add, Ive had my R33 GTS-T weight and it came in at 1320kg. Significantly lighter, obviously this, the mods and the 7000rmp limit is the key. It's not hard. this concludes my little bitch sesh. -rb25

The subject says 6L, so yes they had the 297kw badge on them with the flutes in the front quarters. When will holden realise, like Ford, that technology like DOHC and forced induction is the way to go for power. Obviously my car has more that the stated mods like exhaust, cam gear etc., but these are standard mods for skylines. I found the 6L V8's to rev out very slowly. They are still a very lazy engine.

As expected, theyre crap. My 33 with a bit of boost and an ecu eats them for lunch, just... The first victim was a monaro and up a hill too, the second was a maloo ute on the flat to the end of 3rd gear. My car consistently pulled away. -rb25

serious, from about 30k/hr to 100k/hr. I couldnt believe how quickly that 4L V6 revs out. The poor bastard doesnt talk the SS up anymore and he definately wont race my modded 33 now (aka 2L jap piece of shit). Thanks for the replies guys. I'll reply to this thread after a few hundred kays with the oil change. Dave, I had the same problem with the Redline oil, you really had to give the car some stick before the gearbox felt any good or else it was very 'notchy'. rb25

Is anyone out there using Motul synthetic gearbox and diff oil? What products are you using specifically and what has been your experience. I am looking at (for the gearbox) Gear 300 75W90, or Motylgear 75W90. What grade oil does the diff use? I am assuming 75/90 too. I am very happy with the 300V for the engine and thought I would give Motul a go at my gearbox and diff. I DO NOT want to hear about Redline. I have searched and only found vague information re: motul gear oils. thanks -rb25

I've been thinking of cross-grading to a more practical car that being a 4 door and I really like the look of the R32 over the R33. I'd like to keep some of the mods off my 33 and move them over to a 32 4 door if it all goes ahead, particularly my wheels. Has anyone on the Gold Coast / Brisbane got one and willing to do a quick rear and front wheel swap so I can see if they will fit? Or alternatively, if you own one do you have 18 x 9" (45offset) on the rear, how well do they fit? I saw a white 32 four door on the weekend down here on the coast and wanted it immediately! :headbang: Tho I am very very reluctant to sell my R33, alot of work and money has gone into it.
