  4. sweet Me, around 240 in the R33 and still had accellerating power, but no more road. And 250 in a 400SB chev v8 commodore with a 4 speed and tall diff, had more but ran out of gearing. -rb25

  6. ACL rings? I hear very bad thing about these (only in RB engines so far), they just dont bed in properly. I'm betting if you pull it down you'll still be able to see the hone pattern on the cylinder wall. -rb25
  7. agreed! I managed to get a mild 174.7kW out of my r33. -rb25

  10. go another month ($800 - or just save another $15/week) and get a second hand power fc for sure. then, after another 8-10 weeks ($4-500), get it tuned. 2 goals/rewards right there. and by that time you'll be over the durries and addicted to modding your car. thats about where im at now... edit: forget the front bar, cosmetic mods are for sissies! -rb25
  11. i saw an rb26 like this and did it to my rb25. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/at...achmentid=20915 -rb25

  13. :werd: lots and lots of loom work. a real pain in the ass aparently. -rb25
  14. still no prices? how can you all commit to a group buy if you dont know the price, it could vary quite a few hundered dollars. I'm not participating in this group buy now. I have sourced some Apexi injectors direct from japan for the right price. -rb25
  15. http://www.shockreco.com.au/ I haven't any personal experience with these guys but I hear good things. Open on saturday mornings too last I heard. -rb25
  16. Went to Nissan on saturday to get an oil filter. Checked the numbers and the filter I got and it has 'AU' on the end of it, whereas my previous one didn't, and had japanese writing on it. The other differences were that the thread was only half the length on it, it had a different seal, a round pre-oiled seal (not square edge dry), and a heat-shrink plastic cover over the filter, the japanese one didnt. Are these 'AU' filters crap? Should I just use a ryco from now on? Also, I can't say weather the filter is more/less restrictive because I changed oil type/brand. Using motul 300v now and it takes alot longer to 'settle' to a solid oil pressure, i think its taking alot longer to heat it up, so the oil pressures on a cold motor are high for about 5-10mins. The oil pressure gauge is showing a more responsive oil pressure too so overall I'm happy with it. -rb25

  19. if they were mine id be keeping them moist with oil too to avoid shrinkage and dont put them on news paper or anything that'll draw moisture from them. -rb25
  20. I'm pretty sure its a fuel pressure problem, too much pressure at the rail, and im guessing your using the stock regulator? I think maybe the FPR isnt returning excess fuel back to the system, or that return system is blocked. This could have busted a fuel line or making the injectors leak from excess pressure. Reason being is the fuel smell in the engine bay, the 0psi reading at idle and the black smoke indicating rich running (i.e. over-fuelling). Another thing that comes to mind is a simple thing: a broken vac/boost line to the FPR? This will run the rail at full pressure, even at idle doing bad things to your injectors. or a broken boost/vac or fuel line elsewhere in the engine. Check that fuel filter too. Hope that helps. -rb25
  21. i'll be the first to say it. search facility on these forums will reveal all.... -rb25
