you love this e-manage don't ya. You Dan of all people should be using a powerfc for that 'timebomb' of yours, you really need to keep a close eye on that fuel AND timing. -rb25

many versions for all models. My R33 powerfc is 2.20E, while most are 5.13, 5.20 etc... Also, mine can be read with the GT-R datalogit software. But in the end we downloaded my rom, sent it to datalogit, then they sent back a dat file to use with my specific ECU. took 2 weeks to get the file. Hope that helps in some way. Ross

sounds like a few syncros are being replaced. these are very expensive by themselves not even thinking about labour costs involved. I have been told to rebuild and replace all syncros you'd better have a boatload of money ready. -rb25

if i find out that this is the case, i will do all of my own work from that day forward. And its too late, i already own the new coils and I found out that the ones i was given are ok to use on RB25DET. -rb25

just to revive an old thread, i just got my Splitfire Di coil packs today from jp. Now on the box it says for RB Series engines: RB26DETT, RB25DE, RB20DET & RB20DE. Will these be ok for my series 1 RB25DET? i rekon they will be. any help appreciated -rb25

isn't it sad that in this day and age you have to go to these lengths to get what you paid for. im sick and f'ing tired of seeing dodgy work. my advice is to not tough it at all incase it does need a respray. if you tamper with it you won't have a leg to stand on. firstly, take it back and see what happens. if it gets nasty, lawer time. It shouldnt cost anymore than $50 to get a solicitor to listen to your story and write a letter to them explaining their options those now being limited. you need to do something about it asap too, the longer you wait, the harder it will be to get them to do thier job properly. also, it looks like the apprentice who painted your car the first time around was made to buff your car the second time around and look, he's f**ked it up again. -rb25

if you're planning on doing the turbo then yes, the powerfc you'll need to control fuel in a higher resolution and timing and bigger injectors etc.... -rb25

I dont have a gt-r but i can offer comment on the HKS EVC5. I rate this controller highly, it does exaclty what it should do and has bugger all spike, even in different atmospheric conditions. It's steppor motor is 3 times the size of the apexi one, and the stepper, controler and the display unit each have a 64bit processor in them, pretty tech. stuff. The worst spike i ever had was 0.05bar, with the odd spike of 0.02bar (0.3psi) here and there, i've seen avcr's spike as much as 0.2bar, which is about the same as what you're unhappy about now. EDIT: my evc5 also holds boost plus or minus 0.02bar. -rb25

im pretty sure its the interface cable thats the hard part to get. i know its nearly impossible to get the whole setup to be able to tune the Fcon's, otherwise someone would have it already. -rb25
