I dont think so. I beleive vic roads can just have it transfered over to Vic rego and just charge a small fee for it.... Best give them a call to confirm though

Search the for sale forums for a good japanese exhaust system... HKS, Apexi, Trust etc.... they are better than a dodgey back yard job

3 Day driving permit is about $70 RWC $70 Approximate spend for RWC repairs $500-700 Vic rego is about $580-600 including plates Stamp duty @ 4% will be about $450-$500 TOTAL $1670 - $1940 Give or take a few bucks.... So if the car is $13,000 to fit into your budget you will need to be purchasing the car for about $11,330 - $11060 just going off those quick calculations.... My advice for that sort of money would be wait untill one arrives in victoria.... Less hassles and you can inspect the car easier without having to fly over to look at it. If it was a more expensive car (ie. a GTR R33-34) I would advise you to search outside the VIC border. Sorry if its not what you wanna hear bro but it probably just wont work out to be fessible for you.... And ontop of it all - INSURANCE

Im not saying its not worth buying dude. If your heart is set on it go ahead and do it. After all, its a Skyline and we are enthusiasts so if you have to go out of your way a little more its no real drama. From what I have heard VIC roads in dandenong are the worst. I have heard frankston is the way to go for import rego - less hassles

Dude. As far as I know the procedure is as follows- * Current owner has to fill out a de-registration form and hand in the SA number plates at there local RTA. * Have the car transported over here either by a truck of drive it back on a permit that can be aquired at VIC Roads. * Get a Victorian Roadworthy Certificate (RWC) * Go to VIC Roads and get a registration application form * Arrange an appointment with your local VIC Roads office to have the vehicle inspected by one of the VIC Roads "esteemed professionals" hahah * Take the car to VIC Roads office on arranged date along with your registration form and your current RWC * If all is accepted and the VIC roads people are happy for a change go to the 80 year old lady in the corner and pay her some money whilst she abuses you for driving an imported car. And there you have it!!!! I work in a Holden Dealership and have to deal with VIC Roads fark up a fair bit. Hope all goes well for you buddy

Hsv 2004 Vz 6.0litre Ls2 Clubsport R8
HeathGTST replied to HeathGTST's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
I can get around 600-700klms out of a tank driving around normally (bit of freeway and a fair bit of driving around the suburbs). But really dude... its a 6.0litre V8... who really gives 2 shits about fuel ecconomy. I know it doesnt have the look of a Skyline and being a Skyline forum its very biased. But put it this way... As it sits currently it puts out 230rwkw and thats factory standard. If you want I can arrange a full exhaust system from the Headers back, a custom CAI and a ECU tune and it should push out around 260-270rwkw. Not bad for about 5-6k of upgrades -

HeathGTST posted a topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Hello all, I have for sale an 11/2004 HSV VZ 6.0 Litre LS2 Clubsport R8 Manual. Build number 86. Its finished in Phantom Black paint and has Anthracite (black) leather. The car has only done 5900klms and obviously the car is immaculate. Rarely driven by a mature driver. Comes with balance of the HSV 3 year/100,000klm warranty. This is the brand new generation LS2 engine which produces 297Kw of power and 530Nm of torque (90% of torque available across the rev range from 1500rpm untill redline) Im after a quick sale on this car. Located in Melbourne. Priced at $56,000 I would expect the car to sell very fast given the ultra low kilometers and is $20,000 off new car price. Contact Details Heath - 0412 115 205 Please if you have any quires on the car do not hesitate to contact me. I understand that its not a Skyline but I thought I would give it a crack on the SAU forums! -

Has Anyone Here Been Fined For A Gtst On P Plates?
HeathGTST replied to offthehookr33gtst's topic in Victoria
Yeah im sick of this question aswell.... Get it through your heads guys its ILLEGAL TO DRIVE R33 TURBOS ON P PLATES.... I drove a R33 GTST on my P Plates and only got busted once $105 fine and no loss of points. IF YOU DRIVE AN R33 ON YOUR P PLATES ITS AT YOUR OWN RISK. AS FUNKYMONKEY SAID.... NO WHINGING IF YOU GET BUSTED... -
1997 R33 Series 2 For Sale

How many KLMS? Very nice -
Because the car was found 2 days later torched and it still had what remained of the wheels left on the car. The wreck was towed to the insurance holding yard and the car evaluated and it was then found that the car had been fitted with items not listed on the insurance policy

Its a very grey area this one. I have heard of many stories where insurance companies have failed to pay out claims or reduce the amount they pay because the vehicle was over the power to weight ratio. But on the other hand if you read the insurance fine print it will tell you that the car MUST be in road worthy condition and I dont think every skyline on the road is roadworthy. By saying that i mean some of us have cars that are too low or modified beyond the Australian Design Requirements. So therefore you wouldnt be covered to the full extent of your policy if they investigated right into it. Insurance companies have still payed the claim in several of these cases before and the still have the legal right not to. I drove a 250rwkw R33 when i was on my P Plates and I was insured. I know alot of other P Plate drivers do the same, but I think you should be pretty sweet. The main thing you have to worry about is making sure you tell your insurance company about EVERY single modification you do to the car. My mates car got stolen and the insurance claim didnt get paid because he didnt tell them about the 19inch wheels he had on his car because he thought he would try and save some money by not having to pay as much for his insurance policy. The insurance companies response was that the 19inch wheels made the car more attractive to theives and thats why they stole the car. Right or wrong the can legally back out of the Insurance Policy.

Yeah ill be heading down, not Skyline affiliated though! My brother has a Blue HQ with a big F**K off engine in it... She doesnt look real pretty at the moment (body wise) but she should run a mid 11 tonight and he can pull a mean skid aswell - he has won the burnout comp quite a few times. Soon the engine will be coming out in favour of a forced induction Chev with a big HP nitros setup. And we are also painting the car VB can green with an ice pearl over the top.... should look the goods. I will be cruising around wearing a HSV jacket so if you see me aswell please say'hello. Good luck Nick. Hope all goes well for you mate... See you tonight
