Well as alot of you know i am very seriously looking at buying a GTR... I basicly had purchased one but the sale fell through because the owner wants to keep it. Im looking at this GTR now:- http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/...rch_distance=25 I have done a search on the forums for some further info on this car but i cant find anything... I have been up to see the car and it is really really nice. I was basicly just wondering if anyone knows of this car or has any comments in regards to it. It currently has 235kw at all wheels on 1.2 bar boost. Is that alot of boost for a stock engine or can the handle it alright??? The turbos have been highflowed and are now ball bearing type. it has a Tomei fuel pump. Power FC with controller. Apexi zorst from the turbos back and apexi suspension. All the work has been done by pro tech?? I have never heard of them? are they any good?? I would appreciate any comments towards it... Thanks guys

Very Very Correct. The LS2 engine is a US engine. But its internals and programing have been determined by local engineers. Holden decide to bring in alot of european cars (especialy in the small car market) because it benifits australians by having a cost effective quality vehicle. It still is a Holden in alot of ways because Holden is owned by General Motors who also own Chevrolet, Opel and various other brands. Its basicly a car from its own family. Whilst Holden has a few draw backs at the end of the day its a car for Australians. Its a good quality, safe and reliable motor car that gives many people plenty of happines. Holden is Australian, so whilst we all love our skylines like crazy, lets have a bit of national pride for our product.

Not true at all. Holden have ceased manufacturing the Monaro purely because the plan to bring a new hero car out to replace it. Im sure that when its released that alot of people will take note on how good the car actualy is.
-
Some of you may think that Holden are behind the times but when you think about it, how much do you actualy know about the product - **** all. The technology that Holden use, not only mechanical wise but safety wise aswell is on par with the best of them. and as for power. the new 6.0litre engine with an exhaust, CAI and computer upgrade will prodcue in excess of 290rwkw and thats only spending between 3-4k on modifications. No turbo lag, Plenty of bottom end torque, plenty of top end torque. On the other hand a customer of mine has a new 6.0litre Senator with a twin turbo kit fitted to it 10psi = over 400rwkw.... Try acheive that on the same amount of boost out of an RB25 or whatever. Dont get me wrong at all. I love my turbo cars aswell but I think that alot of people need to broaden their prospective and look at what Holden is produceing. If anything you have to take pride in it because its an AUSTRALIAN built car - Made by AUSTRALIANS.

Its a GTR from one of my dads friends. He was involved with bringing the 100 GTR R32's into australia back in 1992. The car is a 1997 GTR, 18inch wheels and a few extra goodies. Very nice car, hardly driven in the last 4 years he has owned it and I am picking it up at a cheap price aswell. 1. Personalised plates 2. Visiting race pace for some of Ben's magic

Greetings all, I work in Dandenong on princess highway and lately I have seen a dark blue R33 GTS-T with a GTR kit and silver or grey decals on the side, drive past. The car is for sale and it has a contact phone number on the side window. Im half interested in getting some information on this car and how much he is asking. If anyone can help me or if someone has pictures of this car and/or details it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

sorry... The car is a 5 speed manual, it also has a sunroof aswell and a exhaust system on it that sounds quite nice. I will post up some pictures tonight. When I say it needs a tidy up it just needs a polish and a detail job under the bonnet. Spend a good afternoon on the car and it will look really good. The engine starts fine and runs well. gearbox feels good with no grinding through the gears and the clutch feels good aswell. for the money i think this car is worth it...
