the problem seems to be related to engine temp... car idles fast when its cold because its on the cold start procedure, when the engine temp gets to 60c the engine note changes a little and as soon as it hits 68c the idle goes all funny.... from 1200-1600rpm.... up and down up and down constantly.... When I turn the car off and restart it straight away at operating tempreture the engine sits on 2000rpm for around 5 seconds and the drops to 1200rpm and revs up to 1600rpm up and down.... Its really giving me the sits... It didnt do it yesterday but today i did.... Very very strange

Fellas, Yesterday was quite hot in melbourne and my engine temp reached 86c which is warmish but the car still ran fine... Today when i went to drive my car the idle is very irratic. when the engine is at operating tempreture the engines idle goes from around 900-1400rpm by itself... Constantly goes up and down. I have checked most of the electrical connections and most of my hose connections and yet and still have no cure.... Any help would be much appreciated i have a 96 mdl r33 turbo manual with a Power FC computer Cheers

He fellas... Was a horn day but i cracked the shits when I hit one of those f%#*ing concrete sleepers in the carpark at brighton beach and killed my front bar and also killed my dump pipe... Crushed the bastard in.... More $$$. I didnt see it and i turned into it, my fault. Hopefully we can do it all again soon.... A most enjoyable outing

The difference between a 14k skyline and my skyline is all the work has been done. you could buy a 14k clapped out skyline and spend 20k on it which amounts to 34k.... im asking 25k+ so basicly your saving 9k off the total price of the car... I know what I would rather do. I think it goes without saying..... You get only what you pay for! -

I got 84 knock last night 2nd gear came out of a corner sideways not reving hard with 4 people in the car... engine light flashed quickly then dispeared.... Would this have done much damamge if any??? it hasnt effected the knock levels since... I just shit myself when it happened. My usualy knock level for casual driving with a few squirts is around 10-22 knock on PFC

any ideas fella? Its driving me insane.... When you say the shocks havent been put in the housing properly do u mean where the shocks bolt up in the strut towers at the back? -
Hey fellas as you might know I have a R33 GTST with Bilstein shocks and pedders springs and she rides quite firm... It also has a whiteline handling pack and those yellow bush things all around the place.... When i drive over bumps there is a rattle in the left hand side which i beleive is in the rear suspension side of things.... Its like a "ching ching" noise and it sounds like a metal plate or sumfin which is loose... and its really giving me the shits... Has anyone had this drama or can anyone guess where my problem may lie... thanks

Fellas, I got a miss fire in my beast, I changed the plugs this morning and put brand new ones in of the same type, I think they are BCPR7ES 11 and regapped them to the reccomended .8mm and all was fine and i did about 45klms driving and on the way home i filled it up with synergy 8000 from mobil which is 98octane fuel and now she has developed a missfire at around 5,500-6000rpm and the clears up again... Could I have just got a dodgey batch of fuel?? The other thing i noticed is that my HKS mushroom filter had come lose a bit and i think maybe it was sucking in un filtered air.... would that make a difference? If i gapped down my plugs to say .7mm from .8mm would it make a difference? thanks

The Pedders springs came with the car... When i say it shakes i mean when you go over bumps the car rides too firm and cause the dash to rattle and just makes for not the most pleasent ride... I think that the shocks may be over damped but it could be that springs are just way to heavy for the shock absorbers. The car is currently fitted with *Bilstein Shock Absorbers *Pedders Lowered Springs *Whiteline Adjustable Swaybars *Whiteline Camber Kit Front *Whiteline Camber Kit Rear x 2 *Whiteline Castor Kit Front *Whiteline Subframe Align/Lock (Pineapples) all of which have been fitted within the last 4-6 months so nothing is old and worn out Im thinking maybe even getting rid of the shock suspension setup all round... New shocks and springs. I had Bilstein shocks on my Formula 3 and they were SHIT. We changed to Penske shock absorbers and only used Eibach springs which we changed for different tracks. But i cant justify spending over $8000 for a suspension setup like so.
