  1. The german cars I've worked on seem to have that issue(in more than just headlights). Mostly where hot, but also just the insulation hardening and cracking in various places. Not abnormal from what ive seen.
  2. According to the Muse website, similar material, but not the same. Meant to help with stopping the paint cracking. In saying that, I had genuine ones on my last grt, and never had that problem. Could you post pics when you get them? Very much thinking of buying the Muse ones over fibreglass.
  3. Listening to pearl jams best of. Used to dislike them, but have grown into it.
  4. Sorry I'm late to this, but if you're still looking or for others who happen upon this, pretty sure these are what you're(and I'm) after..... https://www.kmakaero.com.au/r32-skyline-gtr-rear-spats-for-gtr https://www.obsessionr.com/products/muse-japan-bnr32-n1-type-rear-spat-set I'm personally interested in the Muse set, as they are also made out of ABS instead of fibreglass.
  5. New years sunrise from Mt Kosciuszko. 2am wake up to get up there in time. Massive blisters. Worth it. Taken with s24 ultra.
  6. Had some powderfinger on before, was a nice change.
  7. Welcome. That is a very nice looking vehicle. Please whatever mods you do, keep the original parts and make sure it can be put back. As others have mentioned, cat delete wont help with power. All it will probably do is hurt emissions.
  8. Nice, and welcome back! ACT has always been a little more quiet than most. But, yes, it has definitely died down. Plenty of knowledge on here. Hopefully I get to see you out and about on the weekends I hit up Canberra (snowy mountains life)
  9. Happy new year. Hopefully its a year of finishing projects 🤣
  10. Dont we all.....
  11. Welcome back!
  12. Jump into the wasteland. Plenty of random posting/chatting going on in there.
  13. Unfortunately, it feels like it's been on the decline for nearly a decade. Especially as wallet racing became popular with them(biggest wallet can pay off a car that wins). It seems like a different mindset kf ownership these days. But, hopefully people like yourself keep some of the skyline scene alive.
  14. Welcome! Nice ride. The pics are very appreciated. Glad you're getting amongst SAUNSW, they're great people. If I weren't so far away, I'd still be attending events in my daily. Most of these have had a hard life due to cheap performance at one stage, but with current prices, they're starting to be collectors cars that get either taken care of, or left in a shed untouched with owners telling themselves it will happen one day(I'm the later). Hope you find some really helpful info here, as there is a LOT.
  15. While there is no current law for the spoon, let's swap to a different utensil. Example, does the store get fined for selling a butter knife if it ends up being a murder weapon? Perhaps they cpuld be done for assisting if they *knew* it was going to be for such a purpose. But, if used properly, which was its primary design, it's a tool for a job that's legal. I could understand companies being prosecuted if they advertise their products for being road legal if they in fact, are not. Possibly, but not necessarily, the tuners for tuning a car to a non legal fashion(emissions), but there is always the possibility that the customer really doesn't intend to use the car, in that configuration, on the road. So long as the companies can prove they have conveyed how illegal it is to use the now illegal car, in a place where the vehicle must meet the laws, they shouldn't be punished. Not sure about other countries or states, but I've been made aware that I can't legally stop a client from taking and driving their own car in NSW, Australia, even if they owe the shop money. It must go through court to get the funds from the customer, and you need to get the police or roads covering body representatives to come and stop the owner from driving the car, even if I know how hazardous the vehicle is.
  16. Interesting post(haven't watched the vid). I'm surprised companies can be fined for selling products that are specifically meant for certain applications. How can you force a customer to use or apply your products in 100% the way intended? People have been misusing products since they were invented. Heck, I ate dessert last night with a soup spoon. Does that mean the spoon manufacturer could be fined? And what of the customers who actually want to use the product for its intended use? I'm sure we could discuss and debate this for a while, but this is an introduction thread and I dont mean to take over it.
  17. Belt idler is a cool idea. Sorry to hear about your pump.
  18. Have seen a suburban with about an inch layer of dust on it. Couple of current corvettes. But not too much. It's funny, I have only seen 1x ford.(an escape at that) Multiple jeep wranglers.
  19. 2 legitimate street and one carpark with some variety.
  20. Unfortunately, lots of Christmas music in various stores. Very meh......
  21. No, because it doesn't run. I did daily my 32gtr with a H pattern dog box for a while. I kind of miss that thing. My Audi has the same levels of comfort. Love the adaptive cruise and night vision camera. Also, my 1968 rn10 hilux kept up with 34gtr's up putty Rd. But, I did have 17x9 volk gtc's on it. The 4 wheels drum brakes never had an issue(this was all at the speed limit, but it actually handled well through corners). Yes they are, otherwise bearing would last longer.
  22. Depends on who you ask. For the large part, you should be fine. Nissan had us use a special tool on boot gas struts to release the pressure as apparently drilling could be dangerous. Could just be the excess pressure and possibly of blowing swarf into your face. Normally, we have never worried about releasing pressure before disposal.
  23. Welcome. Sounds like an interesting project. Hopefully it gets done(unlike mine)
  24. Legitimately thought it was a stagea as all i could see at first was the headlights.
