Jump into the wasteland. Plenty of random posting/chatting going on in there.

Unfortunately, it feels like it's been on the decline for nearly a decade. Especially as wallet racing became popular with them(biggest wallet can pay off a car that wins). It seems like a different mindset kf ownership these days. But, hopefully people like yourself keep some of the skyline scene alive.

Welcome! Nice ride. The pics are very appreciated. Glad you're getting amongst SAUNSW, they're great people. If I weren't so far away, I'd still be attending events in my daily. Most of these have had a hard life due to cheap performance at one stage, but with current prices, they're starting to be collectors cars that get either taken care of, or left in a shed untouched with owners telling themselves it will happen one day(I'm the later). Hope you find some really helpful info here, as there is a LOT.

While there is no current law for the spoon, let's swap to a different utensil. Example, does the store get fined for selling a butter knife if it ends up being a murder weapon? Perhaps they cpuld be done for assisting if they *knew* it was going to be for such a purpose. But, if used properly, which was its primary design, it's a tool for a job that's legal. I could understand companies being prosecuted if they advertise their products for being road legal if they in fact, are not. Possibly, but not necessarily, the tuners for tuning a car to a non legal fashion(emissions), but there is always the possibility that the customer really doesn't intend to use the car, in that configuration, on the road. So long as the companies can prove they have conveyed how illegal it is to use the now illegal car, in a place where the vehicle must meet the laws, they shouldn't be punished. Not sure about other countries or states, but I've been made aware that I can't legally stop a client from taking and driving their own car in NSW, Australia, even if they owe the shop money. It must go through court to get the funds from the customer, and you need to get the police or roads covering body representatives to come and stop the owner from driving the car, even if I know how hazardous the vehicle is.

Interesting post(haven't watched the vid). I'm surprised companies can be fined for selling products that are specifically meant for certain applications. How can you force a customer to use or apply your products in 100% the way intended? People have been misusing products since they were invented. Heck, I ate dessert last night with a soup spoon. Does that mean the spoon manufacturer could be fined? And what of the customers who actually want to use the product for its intended use? I'm sure we could discuss and debate this for a while, but this is an introduction thread and I dont mean to take over it.

Belt idler is a cool idea. Sorry to hear about your pump.

Have seen a suburban with about an inch layer of dust on it. Couple of current corvettes. But not too much. It's funny, I have only seen 1x ford.(an escape at that) Multiple jeep wranglers.

No, because it doesn't run. I did daily my 32gtr with a H pattern dog box for a while. I kind of miss that thing. My Audi has the same levels of comfort. Love the adaptive cruise and night vision camera. Also, my 1968 rn10 hilux kept up with 34gtr's up putty Rd. But, I did have 17x9 volk gtc's on it. The 4 wheels drum brakes never had an issue(this was all at the speed limit, but it actually handled well through corners). Yes they are, otherwise bearing would last longer.

Depends on who you ask. For the large part, you should be fine. Nissan had us use a special tool on boot gas struts to release the pressure as apparently drilling could be dangerous. Could just be the excess pressure and possibly of blowing swarf into your face. Normally, we have never worried about releasing pressure before disposal.

Welcome. Sounds like an interesting project. Hopefully it gets done(unlike mine)

Legitimately thought it was a stagea as all i could see at first was the headlights.

Not great at getting the camera out fast enough for cars driving. Even in traffic. S15 is in front of the kei truck.

Most will be parked.

Have seen more "luxury/suprrcar" type stuff. Like, 3 rolls phantoms(maybe 4 or 5, cant remember).

Saw a very tidy black example the other day, but whipped past to fast to grab a camera out.

All comes down to recommendations and how much you have. If you have the money, both are a great piece of mind to be done. And I believe most people would tell you to do them. Any fuel sitting in the oil may have caused degradation. Personally, I have reused a timing belt after sitting for 2 years whilst getting a rebuild. Didn't have any issues. Id probably dump the oil, fill with fresh, and get on your way. But, keep in mind, I'm just some guy on the internet. -
The 5-6hrs is get is plenty? Sometimes I even get up to 7.....

Not with that attitude. Jk But srsly, I can already hear the faint RB idle murmur of Sam warming up his car.....

Actually, just remembered there should be info in the threads (somewhere) about swapping to a manual steering rack and deleting power steering all together.

That's completely fair. What are you playing these days?
