  1. Pretty much. Have heard all the tales about the factory sender. For the extra couple of hundred, worth it.
  2. Also tensioned all of the oil filter housing adapter bolts. Left one Grub screw loose so I can fit a new oil pressure sender.
  3. WHITE Emailed and heard back from hi octane regarding the spacer between the mount and original pump housing. Meant to be 7.65mm Used washers to achieve 7.6mm. So, this afternoon, bolted the rest of trhe pump bracket up. Installed pump gear. Had to file down the keyway as it was too large and the gear wouldn't go on. Used some thread locker on the Grub screws as I don't want them to come loose.(love the holes for the allen key) Installed the belt and tightened everything up. Now, in hind sight, not the best thing to do, as I still have to install the a.c. and power steer belts.
  4. WHITE small arvo today. Placed belt gear drive on balancer. And that's pretty much it.
  5. GOLD further onto the explanation of the cam gears.... I don't know if it the cause or effect. Could be that the bolts were loose, causing the cam speed to dart back and forward, causing a bearing failure. Could be that the cam seized slightly, turned the cam gear, loosened the bolts and kept going. If there weren't any alloy in the oil, I would have said the gears were the only issue and put it all back together. I really hope it's all it was and the alloy is just residue from the last machine. But...... I want it checked now, while it's all apart. Better safe than sorry.
  6. GOLD Here's the photos from the engine from the gold car.
  7. As requested by titan, but for those who also wanted to see. This is the sump.....
  8. Now, for the pics of turbo dump swap and wrap, etc.....
  9. Here's the "instructions" you get with the kit.
  10. Harmonic balancer drive was the easiest piece to install.... *touch wood*
  11. Nearly there. Pulley doesn't fully align, but is close enough. At least it can turn freely now.
  12. Another thing left out of the instructions..... This tab stopped the pump from aligning. So, removed. (It was just a sump removal help tab)
  13. This pulley guides the alt belt around the pump mount bolts. Unfortunately they didn't design it well, and it could the bracket. Solution? Take the washer meant for the rear but and install it a little early.
  14. Alternator spacer is removed and replaced with the pump brackets(oh, I'm keeping my ac, so this mounts under the alt)
  15. Seems to have worked. Here's some more.....
  16. WHITE Started installing the 4 stage pump today. Oh how fun it is, when your instructions are nothing more than 5 pictures(and not very good ones at that). For the price of the kit, I am VERY disappointed. Will try and attach pics as attachments rather than "pics".
  17. Still can't post photos [emoji20]
  18. WHITE rear turbo off. Swap dump pipe. Reinstalled. Re-wrapped both dumps. Front turbo installed. Braces now fitted.
  19. Wait..... Sms'ing them to my French girls? Or.... Sms'ing my French girls to you?
  20. @prank Can't attach images. Get the warning message: Oops! This forum has disabled media sharing. Anything I should try?
  21. WHITE got pics of dry sump for titan, but can not post. Now, pulled front turbo off this afternoon. Swapped dump pipe to hpi bellmouth. Ran out of time to do the second. Will get it done tomorrow. (Also have pics of all of this)
  22. GOLD Where I'm up to..... Changed run in oil, started car and had a slight knock on inlet cam. Pulled engine, etc..... Finally pulled off all the accessories and such. Was going to post pics, but apparently "this forum has disabled media sharing". Found the inlet cam gear had kicked both ways. Don't know if it's cause or effect though. Have finally dropped the engine to a machine shop. Hopefully I will know in a couple of weeks what has really happened.
  23. Dun, dun, DUUNNNNN! update time! Will do this over a couple of posts, as I'm I producing a second car to the thread(no point having 2 threads). So, will start each post with car colour ( WHITE / GOLD ) to let you know which is getting what. Here we go......
