  1. i couldnt survive with these rules.... obviously they cant see the fact that a car tuned correctly can still be passable for emissions gas testing. and older cars without mods, may fail due to wear. what a shame.....
  2. thanks, look good, even second hand.... picked them up pretty cheap too. i love ebay(sometimes)
  3. Cheers guys, appreciate the help.
  4. hi all, just purchased a set of midori dump pipes(2nd hand) and am baffled at which is for which turbo? the look to be of similar styling to the hpi dump pipes, so hopefully some of you can point me in the right direction. thanks in advance. luke. attached is a pic of the midori pipes in question(not actual set i purchased, just a file photo)
  5. And then post results...
  6. That is awe inspiring..... I would sailed for the collections safety that it would be fully climate and humidity controlled. And that has to be the only r33 without cloudy headlights. Would love to visit/work there. Dreamers can dream....
  7. ^^^ very nice. i take it those pics are out the front of the shop that done the work???
  8. Is also check inside the piping. Mechanics put rags in them so no foreign contaminants get in. Sometimes they forget to take them out. Will have boost, with no flow. As mentioned check the timing belt and cas. Good luck with it.
  9. They should flutter a little, its how the car maintains the correct boost pressure. Even the slightest hint of off throttle, and they will start to open. If you really want to try lubrication, take them off, and try some wd40 straight down the guts. Eg, where they plumb back to the intake. Or try someone else's. I'm running glad gtrs, and they constantly shuffle and flutter, could be the turbos if not stock. Good luck.
  10. Also check your charge rate with your high beams, a/c fan, and brake lights on. Need to see what the charge is doing under load. Could still be a faulty alternator, possibly voltage reg on its way out. But as mentioned, check your battery terminals, and earth points first. Then go from there. Good luck.
  11. As long as it doesn't sit too close to the road, I don't think it can hurt.... How about a before and after comparison, then we can all know... I've often thought of this with the gearbox as well, pretty sure you can buy the stuff like heat shielding, but it helps cooling. An acl product if I'm not mistaken. If you give it a go, please share your results. Good luck.
  12. Jay, for a possibly cheaper idea, could you use various colour glow sticks? Would probably also take a hard landing better.... But only last the one night
  13. It's very rarely a need, more of a want. And if you listen to me, you're about as far away from being a pro as possible.... Think it would be cool on an r/c chopper with a talented pilot, so you can get the angle and heights you want. Just on my wish list....
  14. thanks mate, already found another set of dump pipes. thanks anyway. good luck with your sales. sure youll sell your stuff with ease.
  15. Easy, skip the kite, get an rc chopper.... It's how the pros do it(or how I think the pros do it)....
  16. she'll be right
  17. to my knowledge, the haltech has the same options that you have listed... launch control, anti-lag, flat shiffting. only comes with a 20psi on board map though, so extrat sensors will be required if going for big boost. ive got a haltech pp in my 32, and couldnt be happier. find out which has more support from tuners in your area, no good getting and ecu no one can tune. oh, when i start and run my car, you wouldnt be able to tell it isnt stock. if youre down near sydney anytime soon, and my engine is back in, pm me, and ill take you for a run... good luck with either way you go.
  18. in regrads to ideas for locations, how about just off the top of a water fall? reackon it would look pretty good.... auto correct with a phone if im not mistaken?
  19. I'm interested if you can do 130 express posted to Sydney 2756 Let me know
  20. I'm keen, as soon as i get my engine back, and reinstalled... Looking at 1-3weeks. Don't know what your time frame is. Let me know if this suits you. Preferably without the females.(wife gets jealous)
  21. I've seen similar done with Ford workshops and their intake/carbon/injector cleaner. They used to have a tin of spirits(forget what it was exactly, more or less carby cleaner). Pull off a vacuum line, pull up the recap, and stick it in the liquid. Never heard of anyone bending a rod from doing it. Maybe if you used the booster vac line? And I'm not sold on the water idea. Maybe some throttle body cleaner???
  22. Look around, then decide.... The build that I wanted, I havnt really seen done. so, I'm building my own. I also didn't have the money to spend on a moded one when I first got my car 5 years ago. Definitly would have saved money buying a car that was already done. If you've got the money, I recommended buying as close as you can get to what you want. If you're chasing something that's a bit left field, build it yourself. Either way you decide, goodluck with the new car. And post pics when you get it
