  1. Thanks mate. It's taken a while, but we got here.
  2. If I could afford that, I could actually get it running.....
  3. Coud be the brand. Have never had problems with the shafts I've used in Australia. Even the cheap ones.
  4. That is CRAZY! So much time, effort and money. But hey, if that's his passion, good on him.
  5. Plastic dummy shafts are a fantastic alignment tool. WHEN USED CORRECTLY. This sounds more like installer error. I've never had issue with a plastic dummy shaft. Never had any plastic come off one. But, glad you redid everything and found your issue.
  6. That's definitely the best outcome. I definitely wouldn't have done what you were originally planning.
  7. Most things are possible with time and money. Have you ever seen a car with the setup you want? Even a pic? Might have to get the copies and mod them. Back to custom stuffs.
  8. Yahoo auctions or Google should be able to help with that
  9. Depends on the dealership and staff working there. Have personally worked at 2 dealerships and have know great mechanics and bad ones. The biggest issue is a good mechanic can normally get paid more through a private workshop, so will take that over dealership jobs. But sometimes theyre happy where they are doing what they're doing. Dealerships deal with current cars due to warranty scare tactics and prices, so anything aging gets harder to find people who know the product (staff turnover)
  10. Cheers, will do.
  11. I get that, it's just personal preference. I felt it was more melodic. And didn't overly like chocolate chip trip which most have about.
  12. ^ all of that. Fairly easy on the DIY scale. As Duncan mentioned, make sure you already have the seat belts as they are separate to the seat base. And generally the seat belts use fine thread bolts which are hard to find at general hardware stores, so if buying some, try to get the bolts included.
  13. I understand why. They're fairly cheap in race part terms. And you don't want ignition breakdown. But, fire occasional track days, just pull them and inspect every service. Clean, adjust and replace when worn/required.
  14. I'm liking the stuff you listed in your last paragraph more these days. Personal taste and all that. Still like metallica, but agree, Lars is a dick. And tool is still awesome, but I wasn't as big a fan of their latest album compared to their previous work.
  15. I am also starting to listen to more classical stuff. Orchestral, piano, violins. Heard an Aussie opera track on ABC classical yesterday I liked randomly scrolling through stations.
  16. TL;DR Not sure if checked, but confirm no blockage in the vac/boost reference line to the ecu. Have had rich and fluctuating idle from a blocked line and ecu could read that it was under vacuum(no MAF).
  17. I'm on the same type of roster. But over a mil is just over what we can accomplish. Since we didn't have a deposit pre covid and rented, we were priced out for much longer than we were hoping. But, I already travel an hour each way to work and don't want to go further out. Anything closer to work goes up in price. Larger blocks as well, as developers are trying to buy the area and sub divide. And we just don't have 2mil + to compete for a 10-100 acre block.
  18. Hi, just wondering if there are any other audio enthusiasts here? I've been going through a phase recently, upgraded speakers, amp, got a nice pair of headphones and now chasing a nice pair of IEMs. Pic of my current speakers. DALI euphonia ms5 and cs4. Driven by NAD masters m17v2 pre pro and m27 amp. Will eventually be home theatre and stereo music listening set up.
  19. New phone pic. S24 ultra. Dads car when he came to visit the other week.
  20. Here's a few from parkway drive in Sydney September 2024. Galaxy s22 ultra
  21. The 200 hold their value, alright. Honestly, I'm not that bigal a fan of them. But, it's all personal. And I think the Toyota vs Nissan feud is as strong as the Holden vs Ford feud. I hope you get the average. Part of the reason for moving g away from Sydney was to try and get average. Even just 5. But, covid pushed the prices from affordable to unachievable. (380k to over a mil). I will admit, except for the lack of convenience, I do really like rural life.
  22. Thanks. Post whoring, it's what I do.
  23. If using a phone, hit add files, then media, then gallery, then look for whatever pic you're wanting to upload.
  24. Granny shifting instead of double clutchin' like you should. But seriously, if you need to double clutch, there's something wrong. Also, welcome.
