    Ours are nice and quiet unless they sense next doors dogs. And i couldn't make sense of their post, but wanted to express how much I love our puppies.

    Not straight cut, but "apparently" it still gives off a whine (with helical cut). My 32 box was doing it. People have asked if it was straight cut. No, it's not.

    Have also heard the case hardening can wear off the gear teeth and cause a slight whine. Don't know how much truth is in it.
