I have found nothing in my records of a 2 tone paint scheme so I wouldn't be suprised if it was done by the owner (perhaps due to an accident?)

This is from the Series 2 optional parts catalogue.
It basically says: If the monitor is on and you shift to Reverse you will see a black & white image of the rear but even though you have the camera always be careful when reversing.
There is also a reverse signal wire on the multi av diagram which Chook posted earlier in this thread which I suspect has something to do with all of this...
The s2 definitely came with a reverse camera optional extra in the automatics which over-rode whatever was on the screen when you put it in reverse to the camera, and then switched back to normal once out of reverse. (a pic of the cam is in this thred)

Leetom is correct, the "Wiper de-icer system" usually came with a cold weather spec pack which also included heated wing mirrors, rear fog lamps & if you coupled that with the "S Pack" you would get a rear viscous Limited slip diff (LSD)
The "Auto light system" came standard in the 25t RS V, 25t RS FOUR V, 25X, 25t X FOUR, & 25X FOUR, & included with Xenon lights if selected in the 25RS & 25RS FOUR. (S2)

just like to point out some slight errors in the orignal post if i may.
it is true in series 1 you couldn't get a turbo rwd, however, in series 2 you may get turbo rwd.
RS does not mean the car is turbo. X FOUR's came in turbs & non turbs with no mention of RS.
In series 2 the RS models had a prefix either V or S to designate turbo (S - turbo manual).
The TGKNRXA code on your firewall plate will tell you your model.
