  1. No my brackets are bolted to the chassis
  2. If it helps: Second photo its a bit out of whack though......
  3. Its not like inox really. It is probably more like silicone lube spray. Its good if youve got it. Theres plenty of stuff you can get. For plugs ive used electrical grease and that was good for deutsh plugs etc. Personally I've never really used anything but contact cleaner on my car. It just isn't exposed to the elements enough to need it. I dont wet any where near the electrics. Ive only ever had one issue with plugs and that was because it was full of something that had limited the contact over time (must have been like that when i bought the car)
  4. It looks like your average timing light so I would suggest if you used that one you did the old spark plug lead on coilpack 1 trick. I do that everytime anyway, At least then you can be sure you are setting it right
  5. Throw CAS away, you've already set the timing with the belt
  6. Funny how they were talking about what they are doing to help with turbulent air etc saying wings need to be lower and wider......... A bit like they were a few years ago? Formula 1 is real strange like that. Go on and on about cost cutting then do circles with the rules. I suppose everyone can just dust off the old spec wings. 2nd hand parts will save money i guess........
  7. Let me know if this looks like it might be helpful and i can send some more screenshots or email it to you when i get home from work in the morning. EDIT: I haven't exactly included the most helpful part of the diagram here lol but i can find all 4 wheel speed sensors and shows what pins they go to and plugs etc
  8. Haha. Honestly, mine is probably about perfect for driving around town, which is pretty much all it does. But now that we have E85 on pump, i know im going to make more power so may as well make a bit more on top of that
  9. Haha wow, I forgot we were talking oil temp sensor here.......... Yeah what I have posted wont work well at all for that If I was doing that I would be running it on my oil cooler lines anyway. I was going to suggest a male to female coupler with a port in it for a gauge sensor, but it appears M10 threaded ones are very rare. you could always drill and tap it out if you were desperate. The couplers arent made of titanium. The only issue I see is there being enough meat in some fittings to do so, as below not sure if it will work
  10. I'm interested in how much to upgrade SS2 will cost, The new one sounds unreal and mine is due for a retune with E85 and new injectors when I can get all the parts together and on the car so the thought of upgrading turbo sounds good to me
  11. Not sure if helpful but this is what I did on my car to get a second oil pressure sensor. This is the early stages, before I made it look a bit nicer
  12. Remember that the difference between a GTS and GTS-t is more then just the turbo.
  13. You can drain it, fill it with distilled water and run it for a day then drain it again and refill with coolant.
  14. its possible that they run a spring loaded check valve to stop water coming out unless there is say 2psi in the line. But I didn't think they ran one. Might have a quick look Edit: Did a search in FAST and R33's do have a check valve for the rear wiper R32's do also, P/N - 28938-05J00, $12.33 from Amayama Should be just before the rear washer jet if you trace the line back
  15. Was it noisey from the moment the car started or did it develop during the drive? If it was noisey since it started, I wouldnt suspect heat. Unless you have a fuel cooler, it will probably get about as warm as it was on startup just cycling through the system.
  16. But think of the mad street cred just before the oil pump fails
  17. Should we get in touch with them and talk about arranging transport interstate etc sometime soon?
  18. If your gonna pull the engine out, you may as well go all out
  19. Is this through import monster? I cant remember who the supplier was lol
  20. 25's have more capacity and VCT, of course they are better than rb20's. The oil issues have solutions, other than that if you treat it right it will be fine I never had issues with my old stock motor running 18psi and 260rwkw. The only reason i changed it with a fresh one is because i wanted to build an engine and thought i may as well make it strong Seriously. If guys on a Skyline forum where I'd say around half the members have or have had an RB25 are telling you a 25 will be better then a 20, then really what more info do you need? Its all here to be found if the time comes and if you already know about the oil issues then theres not much more to know as far as im concerned
  21. Nah i think 2-26 is clear and similar to spraying WD-40 I have a can in my work car but havent actually used it yet
  22. I don't fully understand what you are trying to get accross here I'd hardly say Ferrari were nowhere with Kimi and Massa though, 1 WDC and nearly a second one with Massa the year after Looking at Mclaren last year, and there troubled pre-season, I always thought they were going to have a tough year. But I think everyone is a bit suprised with how far behind they are. Considering they had quite a while to prep. I'm not really sure what rules and regs apply when you are developing a new engine. I assume it just has to stay within the rules though, which means it had potential to be as good as the Mercedes (although that's quite a high expectation) I dunno, I'm not claiming to be an expert. But I just cant believe Honda, with the time they had, couldnt develop a better package. Assuming that they are right in saying that the Mclaren Chassis and Aero is decent
  23. Im afraid you are going to have to set the car on fire. Only guaranteed way to remove spiders
  24. I hate things on my car that don't work. No matter how stupid lol Theres not an awful lot that can be wrong with the washer circuit, and it should be fairly easy to isolate where the problem is
  25. Indeed I would be a little worried about metal floating around the head right now if I was in OP's position. Head off, new gasket, peace of mind. Worth every cent
