  1. Quote of the week .. i wish i had a 500rpm band of pure awesome .
  2. Fark...talk about a catastophic chain of events caused by one shit part ,hope it didnt damage the RRR block .
  3. What happened to the head to make it useless ?
  4. My plasma cutter makes short work of it.
  5. Just start remanufacturing the datsun 1600 again & they WILL be on a winner.
  6. Nice work guys but I would have done some port work on the head while its all apart ..especially on the exhaust side as its pretty average really.
  7. Ahh N1 syndrome.
  8. Were you using the 300v chrono or competition ?..also what pump was it that failed .
  9. What kind of power are you looking to make to warrant a RRR block ?
  10. Great numbers I take it your not using pump E85 ...are you using a zeitronix to display the E content ?
  11. i believe the Aeromotive 340 pumps dont like E85 ...i have heard of a few failures of them when using e85, shame because when i saw them i was hoping i could use them also. Looks like 044 wins again.
  12. Cant wait to see the final results on this build Bobby..its awesome to see this level of detail , custom fabrication , not to mention the dollar amount. I hope this can really achieve everything your hoping for..look forward to the next installments.
  13. Ok ...im a skeptic
  14. Well done on the outcome ..Now i hope the big man at the top handed down a royal arse kicking to the big knobs nissan HQ , i think they truly desrved one . I think they enjoy denying responsibility to people ' because they can ' ..Typical delusions of grandeur syndrome ...and who here is going to tell them they are wrong. It always pays to go the very top of the tree with issues such as these when treated unfairly.
  15. Ant, could you give me a postage cost for the studs to 2750...also the pump if its still available.
  16. Sorry to hear about your gtr...hopefully a super sized dose of karma comes to these brazen pricks real soon. Hope you recover your car mate.
  17. I have a set of ti rods but if i did not i would probably be going with these trick titanium rods..for the price i dont think they can be beaten , cheaper than pauter or pankl and still have exceptional quality and finish. http://www.tricktita...connecting-rods Now i just wish DART would manufacture an aftermarket tall deck RB based block that could be taken out to 91mm with .250 cylinder wall thickness. I mean if they already produce a stronger aftermarket honda block then surely to god they can do an almighty RB26 based block. http://www.dartheads.com/ At the same time if they would take the SR20VE vvl head design and apply the same technology to a absolute killer RB head . Mmmmm ...my ultimate would be 91mm bore & 91mm stroke = 3.55L RB35VETT , now just give me a variable valve timing & variable valve lift (same as v-tec) mega head, with a pair of borg warner efr's. Ohh i think a hollinger would have to be on the cards to cope with the above combo
  18. ^^ Yes but you will be replacing alloy rods more frequently than ti rods if you plan on turning them past 10,000rpm. Btw Ti 6AL4V billet rods can be had from $650 u.s each for small block chevy sizes & smaller. But good alloy rods like BME's would be excellent in a street engine..only downside is size comparison to a steel or ti rod, which can be a pain when clearancing the block or girdle.
  19. Wow..that is some extremely nasty shit.. Best of luck paul, wishing you a full and speedy recovery.
  20. +1 for oil analysis ..at least you know exactly what condition your bearings are like. Or just keep punishing the engine as you normally would ..you will find out soon enough if its good or if its f*cked.
  21. Im guessing you could go eat that dick now .
  22. Thanks pete i will give you a call to come grab them.
  23. Marko, pillowball joint aka spherical bearing aka rose joint . Try holding the bearing in a vice with soft jaws with just enough force to hold it firmly without squashing it out of round & then get a tyre lever or something under the eye where the shock would pass through it and apply a little bit of force see if you can feel any play in it. btw, being an NMB bearing it should be easy to match up a replacement if need be..just go to CBC bearings. Does it have a part number on the bearing ?
  24. ^^ I already sold it .
