  1. ...so i just took the fog lights and indicators out altogether instead.
  2. all good, bit the bullet and took my $20 one back and bought a $60 one from supercheap which seems to work - car sounds better than ever
  3. hey bob, can you please check mine also?
  4. hmm not sure, i have the loop at the back of the coil back cover, but was gonna take it off that white wire from the no.1 coil pack itself
  5. gotta take it off to change the timing belt...can't rely on just lining it back up with paint marks i made so want to check it for certainty
  6. Hey, I bought the cheapest timing light from supercheap and found it is only good for regular spark plug leads (not an inductive one and not really coil pack plug friendly) so if anyone has a timing light i can borrow and lives on the gold coast give me a holla please Cheers Dane
  7. damn it. i got a poxy 'serial' light that is supposed to plug into spark plug leads! damn me for buying the cheapest timing light available...
  8. Hey i've just gone to test fit my bumper after fitting my jj fmic and while i've trimmed the bottom airdam on the bar, the foglights are no stopping me from fitting the bar as they're contacting the end tanks on the FMIC. This is a R33 series 1.5/m-spec/1995 whatever you want to call it, and I've seen other people mention that they've had to trim these when installing a FMIC and then sealed them, but before i go angle-grinder happy, has anyone got any experience or clear instructions on the best way to go about trimming them?? Cheers Dane
  9. that's a 'no' to his question then
  10. well i fiiiiiinally finished my 100k service and she started beautifully first time (well first time after i pushed the CAS plug back in properly...) - thought i did have to tighten the distributor belt cos it was whining like my girlfriend after i've forgotten an anniversary or something. i bought a $20 timing light from supercheap. so to do the timing i just take the coil pack cover off, connect the timing light so it's in 'serial' with the no.1 coil and point at the harmonic balancer while the engine is running and make sure it matches up with the 4th mark on the balancer? if so, i might just dab a bit of paint pen on that mark to make it easier for me to spot yeah? it's odd that nissan made the 0 mark orange and not the 15 mark.... any feedback on this technique? didn't want to start a new topic cos there's a few out there but none of them with definitive answers.
  11. if only they were 18".... hot looking rims. good luck with the sale
  12. those clear cam gear covers are for GTRs... if you want one for a GTST you might have to wait for PSI parts to finish theirs... don't put an adjustable cam gear on there....i think you will end up with oil intended for the VCT pissing out??
  13. anyone planning on diy'ing the clutch line? if so, i'd love some tips for when this baby comes in. cheers
  14. i thought that was his original question, can he mount it upside down as in the filter's thread pointing up, so when you unscrew it, it's full of oil but held in a way so it won't spill out...I've always wondered this - it would save having to hold a rag under the filter when you unscrew it.
  15. not sure if this has been asked, but can i get stats and price on the wheels?
  16. bump because I'm a little worried the one on the way is for an R32 which appears to be a different part number which worries me. Anyone got one for an R33 just in case? hell i'll buy it in addition to the one coming just for piece of mind
  17. hey dude, don't suppose you have the inlet cam gear?? with the vct
  18. hey don't be like that, i think he just likes the attention!
  19. thanks mate, got one on the wayfor $52 inc. del. but if for some reason it doesn't work, i'll get in contact. cheers
  20. really? damn - i thought that when you change to aftermarket cams you can go to adjustable cam gears on both and figured that's what most people with aftermarket cams would do..... p.s. i tried the nissan wreckers in qld - can't remember the name, but they're "nissan-specific" wreckers. well anyway absolute wanker!! i would not recommend them to anyone!
  21. hey dude, seeing as VCT is disabled - do you wanna sell me the inlet cam gear??
  22. wanna sell me the inlet cam gear with vct??

  24. someone must have one lying around after changing to aftermarket cams??
  25. hey don't suppose you have a inlet cam gear with the VCT intact??
