  5. oh well, thanks for the quick response!
  6. Hey mark, sorry about the late notice - I've just paid the cash to your paypal account and sent a PM, hope I made it in time!
  7. Hey I have a double request: R33 Gtst - inlet cam gear with VCT R34 Gtst (NEO) - inlet cam gear with VCT Want to see if they're the same.....fingers crossed.
  8. Does anyone know if the inlet cam gear (with VCT) from an R34 neo would fit straight onto a non-neo R33? We're talking Gtst too if that matters.
  9. awesome - it it's the same I'll be happy as one of those cops in that stuff.
  10. Hey ya'll - so i didn't realise you needed to undo the bolts to get cam gears off while you still have the timing belt on....i know i'm an idiot. SO i put in one of the little bolts that hold the spring in the inlet cam gear thinking (completely stupidly) it would provide enough torque for me to undo the big bolt at the centre of the inlet cam gear (yeah we're talking about me being dumb enough to try to use a 7mm bolt to provide enough opposing force to undo a 3/4" bolt...anyone that sees me in the street, just slap me) So as expected the 7mm bolt snapped off in less than a second and i'm left with a tiny 4mm diameter thread to extract. Anyway, after several attempts to use an ease out to extract this thing, it is well and truely f*cked. So if anyone has one of these lying around, don't let it go to waste. Sell it to me!! I'm on the GOld Coast but will pay for postage of course. If you can get it to me by the end of the week I'll pay for express postage too. Cheers Dane just so people know what sort of cam gear i'm talking. its the stocl inlet cam gear from an R33 Gtst with the VCT intact. Like the one above (mine's painted black and doesn't have any of the bolts in at the moment.)
  11. cool cool - sounds as though they're pretty easy to use too...?
  12. i don't think you would want your core powder coated - maybe the pipes, but that stuff is a bit thick. much thicker than spray paint or anodizing that's for sure. powder coat is tough for a reason. i had mine painted by a radiator shop for $20 bucks. Looks fine to me although it's a little bit glossier than i was expecting.
  13. how much will it set me back?
  14. how much is a timing light? can you get them from supercheap?
  15. Hey, after an embarrassing set of events i am in need of an R33 inlet cam gear with the VCT all intact. Can anybody help out? Cheers Dane 0404 837187

  17. ok this is bullshit - how do you get the old cam seals out?!? i'm trying with flat head screw drivers a bent piece of wire - nothing works!? another edit: some good needle nose pliers and a lot of jigging around did it (i never had any pliers to start with....idiot)
  18. hey once you get that cover off and the center bolt out (remember to do this before you take the belt off....) how do you pull the damn gear off?? edit: never mind - a bit of back and forthing!
  19. that looks pretty nice, but i want bigger
  20. hey that's actually a friggin sweet idea!
  21. ok that's sweet. shame you'll be able to see it through my clear cover (if psi ever get them finished... ) maybe i'll give the inlet a gentle clean
  22. i'm thinking of just buying a drift lip and having it reshaped with some extra length on the lip
  23. dude, why not just pay to have yours remapped? it will probably be cheaper and more reliable
  24. Just changing my timing belt at the moment and noticed a bit of surface rust on my stock inlet cam gear. It's not really bad but I'm wondering if I should worry at all. Would it be the cam cover gasket/seal? I'm changing the water pump too, but I'm sure that's not leaking cos my coolant level is fine. Maybe i'll take a pic and see what people think.
