  1. nice, what sort of price did you have to pay to get the rear gaurds fitted? i'm assuming the old guard (steel) had to be cut off?
  2. anyone got pics of these installed? just wondering what it looks like and deciding which colour would be best
  3. if enough people go in to make it $229, i'm in
  4. don't suppose you have any more pics of the rear bar
  5. haha, i think that's a bad idea - one, they'll melt pretty quickly so the 'possible' benefit will be short lived, two, they'll probably produce condensation that will get sucked through or stuck to your filter. everyone's talking about how easy it is to make a partition so maybe i'll actually take some initiative and do it. i'm planning just a partition rather than a 'lidded' item cos i'm thinking in the future i might add a vent on the bonnet. bah who knows.
  6. can you just get it at supercheap? the double-sided i got with my boost gauge is useless - would this stuff be overkill??
  7. hooked up my saber on the weekend - piss easy to do (partly because I already fed my wires through the other week when i tried to hook up what i found out was a broken gauge...) What i did have to do though was cut some pieces of the tubing supplied with the gauge and fit them over the stock air feed thingo on each side of the cut i made for my gauge's boost sensor, because my tee piece was too big to fit into it. I wanted to replace the whole tube with the stuff supplied with the guage, but the inside diameter was too big to fit tightly to the plenum ... that probably doesn't make a lot of sense, but i'll take some pics tomorrow. anyhow, gauge is sweet, pretty much matches the stock one, but the extra increments make reading boost a lot more accurate! turns out i max out at about 5psi in 1st and 2nd then up to 8psi in 3rd 4th and 5th?? this is with a bleed type boost controller currently set just above it's minimum (still haven't got my intercooler yet and was waiting til i had a better boost gauge and fmic before i up it)
  8. dammit, forgot to ask for my jdm parts catalogue.... hey can i ask what is the difference between these pods and the 'kits'. I haven't got around to fitting mine yet, but judging from the range of bolt holes on the base of them they would appear fairly universal. So do the kits just include an adaptor and a bracket? And going from that, with an adaptor - does the pod actually sit out a bit further than the afm as opposed to these ones without the adaptor? just trying to figure out the benefits of the 'kit' over these is all.
  9. that's why you're our new best friend
  10. no air tools for me unfortunately, i'm going old school -> no experience, few tools and all trial and error if i do something wrong i'm sure it can be fixed :S it just may cost a lot more, but at least i'll know what not to do p.s. lucky you can piece together enough knowledge from the diy's on this forum
  11. got my saber yesterday - loving the electrical style - no need to worry about crushing an air tube when going through the firewall the 'smoke-ness' is not as great as i was expecting, but it still looks cool. if my gf doesn't have a whinge i'll install it tomorrow morning.
  12. its in the tutorial - use brake cleaner or thinners. just get that sh*t off otherwise your brake pads will be crappola for the rest of their days.

  19. whooah! why you spending $200?? redline from performancelub should be around the $100 mark delivered for 5 quarts.
  20. hey hey hey, you have a pic of ultra blue but don't mention it...?? am i missing something. i was gonna use ultra blue on my water pump it 'sounds' as if that's acceptable??
