ok sweet - so as long as a get a mechanic who knows how to make a proper liquid gasket when he fits it i should be fine. thanks guys

Hey all, just bought a genuine nissan RB25 water pump off Kudos (Andrew - top bloke) and it has the elongated top bolt hole? I'm not fitting it myself but I was just wondering what this should be filled with (I hear that you then just drill the proper hole after filling)? Reason being, I just want to be able to tell the mechanic doing my 100k service what he should do to avoid him either not filling it at all, claiming it is no good and charging me for another pump or claiming he had to go through some massive (expensive) process to fill it.

Item: Volk Racing - F Zero Winning 18s Specs: 18x9" +35 18x10" +35 114.3 Suit GTR Price: $1000 ono no tyres Location: Gold Coast - Pick Up most definitely preferred Condition: Good - couple of gutter marks and the fronts have a bit of 'inner' wear from scraping strut on full lock Reason for selling: Don't fit my GTSt neatly without mods and they're not my ideal rims so I can't be bothered making them fit Contact: Dane 0404837187 or PM or in the thread if it's a question that others may also be wondering As stated, this won't fit a GTST with stock gaurds etc. The fronts don't actually stick out past the gaurds, but the inside can scrape the strut when on full lock. Also the rears stick out the tiiiiiniest bit on my GTST which is almost negligible, but unless your gaurds are rolled, you'll get nice little stringy bits coming of your tyres when making a 'g' or two around turns - unless you dial up some serious camber i suppose. Oh and one of the rears had a little buckle in it (thanks must go to the previous owner for failing to mention that to me when i was asking about their condition... ) But it is currently getting fixed by depulu wheels and I'll even give you the receipt for that repair. Here's the pic from the original listing from where I bought them, but I will get some more pics tonight of each rim (well the 3 that I have in my posession currently at least) Pics (left to right): 1) pic from original listing...not sure which wheel that is? 2) rear left 3) front right 4)front left

airbrushed....oh you didnt..... how could you?!?!? haha i suppose each to their own. maybe if it was something reaaaaally tacky like zebra or leopard print i wouldn't mind it - but you've probably done a silly 'graphic' of skulls or something haven't you? haven't you!!?! come on, lets see it. degreaser for real grubby parts or just use car wash stuff probably. and yes, ample portions of elbow grease unfortunately.

Just How Good Can A Skyline Handle?
made_guy replied to Lachlan33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
i wouldn't discount the handling of the bentley too much - they are worth big money for good reason, they're engineered to the eyeballs and the big weight and unassuming chassis can probably do better than you think. a well tuned suspension/tractioned skyline is surely pretty formiddable, but out of the box, the stock bentley would kill a stock skyline. those things, like most super-luxury cars nowadays hammer!! that being said, if i was going to spend that sort of money on a car, you can bet your ass it wouldn't be on a bentley -
Should I Get A Pfc Help Me Make Up My Mind!
made_guy replied to PhilGTR's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
^^ haha yeah - what the!? that reminds me of my ridiculous posts on a commodore forum - because you had to have a minimum number of posts before you could sell in the trader forum. e.g. "Yes there is a good chance it will work" "Definitely...unless it's not what you're after" etc etc if you're sticking with stock boost and less mods overall, it might be better to spend the money on cams and a SAFC than a pfc? -
after looking at those last pics of the engine dismantled etc i seriously can't wait to see this all put together!! I especially wanna see how the white painted covers look in the bay (hope you're cleaning your engine bay while it's empty too!!). is it weird to get hard looking at engine internals/parts?

hopefully i'll be doing this on the weekend and i'm gonna give the filling through the gearstick option a go (i'm sooo scared of pouring oil all through my car though cos I'm so impatient when pouring oil through a funnel!) If that for some reason doesn't work (no reason why it shouldn't off course) i'll just use a $3 syphon hand pump i reckon.

19" Volk Te37's, Cul8ta Plates (vic)
made_guy replied to OBES's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
in the pic you can see the front pipe has two inlets...as in for twin turbos...as in GTR.... -
isn't there a tutorial to do them on here? i didn't think coilpacks and plugs were that hard to replace.

Hey all - I bought my Volk Winnings 18s (exactly the same as these in the pic) at a bargain price and have just found out why... I put the 10" rears on (which are a bit wide for my gtst anyway) and have found that one of them has a little buckle...yeah yeah, "you get what you pay for etc etc" Now keep in mind, I actually want black wheels (preferably nismo's with a chrome lip) for my car eventually... So anyway, it's gonna cost me $89+gst to get the buckle done at Depulu or $139+gst to get it fully reconditioned. Now a couple of the other wheels could do with some reconditioning too. So my options are: a) just get the buckle fixed and worry about reconditioning them later if i feel like it b) get this one reconditioned as it's better than paying to fix the buckle and then paying for recondition later OR c) get the wheels reconditioned but make them BLACK instead of the original silver!?! Now the issues i see with c) is the blue anodising on the inside of the rim - how difficult is that going to make it for the guys to apply black just to the spokes and how do you think black would look on these wheels. I actually think it would look pretty cool and unique with the blue and chrome bits inside the rim. Also, if i was going to go black, I'd probably prefer powdercoat but then again these wheels aren't even my ideal rims, so there's also option: d) get the buckle fixed just because it's gay selling someone a buckled rim (!!) and sell the wheels and wait for my ideal rims (nismo gt1s or gt2s) and just get them powdercoated in black? I know the best people to ask about the issues with the blue inside the rim when repainting are actually Depulu, but just wanting to get some esteemed opinions here anyway Cheers

i'm gonna give depulu wheels a go - as soon as I can get a day or two off to drop it in. i'm only doing one wheel to start with - cos it's buckled, but i'll do a before and after shot.

Nismo Exhaust R33 Gtst
made_guy replied to holes's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
fitted mine in an hour dude, direct bolt on (although removing the old one from the rubber mounts took the longest time! use wd-40 to make them slippery) - including jacking it up, putting on stands, removing the old and putting on the new one. and i did it alone. first exhaust i've ever done too. applause!!! ok sorry, i'll leave your thread alone now. -
try those rubber grip things. they're kind of like lattice or waffles..... 10cmx10xm things for undoing lids and shit.
