  1. hey bro - got your pm, i'll call you this arve!!
  2. get it done in suede
  3. hang on what's afr adapter kit and when do you need it? + wideband o2 sensor!?? sheesh, maybe this whole affair isn't really cheaper than a power fc
  4. hmm at the risk of being flamed for not reading page 2 of this (too many 'opinions' flying) is it ok to relocate the stock BOV under the front drivers gaurd with the exit FMIC piping without any problems? i just want to know as i'd like to get my intake pipe to avoid going in front of the radiator and don't want to buy a new plenum - so a setup like devil's advocate is what i'm looking at, but i'm unsure of how best to relocate the BOV and/or any issues this may cause. i'm guessing if you can put an aftermarket on there then putting the stock one there should be cool too.
  5. how much do greddy map sensors cost? assuming they don't come with the 'kits' supplied by Slide?
  6. general consensus is stay well away from slip on spacers. your wheels are the things attaching you to the road after all, you wouldn't want to reduce the amount of 'stud' their held onto your car with.... especially for track work!
  7. sweet thanks for the input security and ucd15r33 - give me a couple of weeks and i'll be back saying "i just installed my emanage ultimate, how do i...?"
  8. f*ck, sorry to jack into this thread and ask this question - but just when i've decided on an emanage ultimate, i see a bunch of people saying "if you can get a pfc, get it!". so i'm still not able to commit...! the benefits of an emanage ultimate appear to be: *new technology that can be updated (software) easily *price (plus the ability to remove AFM saves cost by not having to upgrade the stock AFM) *brand new (warranty) *easy to tune (a few tuners seem to be around who can use them) *retains factory engine safety mechanisms *kit comes with software and cable to start tuning right away (if you're so inclined) So what is it that a pfc can do that the emanage ultimate can't?
  9. cool, bunnings was going to be my first option, but i didn't have much confidence that they would have what i want. i was also thinking the lines will probably 'yellow' after a while... oh well if i find them and they're not too expensive, it's worth a go i guess.
  10. PM your phone number dude if you haven't got rid of these. Cheers Dane
  11. still available? sent a text anyway
  12. hey saw a drift car in hpi with clear coolant overflow lines which i like the idea of for monitoring the health of the coolant easily, and was just wondering if anyone knows what sort of plastic would be suitable for this?? and if anyone knows where to get it from.
  13. you check your plugs? gap em to 8 or even 7
  14. i've certainly noticed more lag after installing my fmic - eventually i'd like to go to a front facing plenum to reduce the pipe-maze a bit and see if it helps. also am going to wrap my return pipe in front of the radiator in heat-proof shielding to see how that goes cos that pipe gets stupid hot! oh also have a jjr fmic and just bent the bracket that the return pipe uses to attach to the engine so it clears the blades - looks a little ghetto but looks aren't my concern.
  15. how come? i've heard the opposite. flow rate of the bigger catco's is better
  16. sorry, i did read a bit about emanage uiltimates but is it just the harnesses that is vehicle specific - while the emanage itself is universal? i.e. can this just be wired into an R33Gtst?? does this come with the software??
  17. well if you're worried your coilpacks are the cause, silicone them up and see if that helps any - if not, then you know they're not the issue and its time to tune.
  18. hmm yeah you shouldn't have that much trouble - i did mine with just the timing belt still on and it came off easily (by the way, this is not the recommended method!!!) but yeah get someone to hold the spanner on the cam and you undo the cam gear bolt. toughen up petal ;D
  19. any idea of shipping cost to the gold coast?
  20. got any facts on this? i see big tuning companies that have $800 strut braces fitted. There appears to be a great deal of support for their benefits, but I'm happy to hear if they don't work cos it saves me buying one - but at least back it up with some dodgy article or something.
  21. yeah if you aren't 100% sure from the harmonic balancer - check that both the cam gear marks are lined up correctly two - if all 3 look good, you're jake!
  22. check out the kits from traders on the forum like kudos - they're all the correct parts. i did my water pump, tensioner, idler crank and cam seals with parts from kudos and used a greddy timing belt.
  23. ...hoping that last one to go out is mine....?
  24. $1500+ some wreckers will give a warranty too - they know losts of r33 boxes are furrrcked urrrp
  25. as long as the thread is long enough, i would bolt the engine dampner on top of the strut brac mount rather than underneath
