  1. hey NIS r31, did you use 25mm spacers and get silvia offsets wheels? cos thats what i was thinkin of doin, but wasnt sure the exact space needed to make them sit nicely out towards the guards
  2. I am selling some ROH zs wheels with tyres. PCD 114.3 x 4. cant remember offset.. am asking $650. they are made for an r31/hr31 skyline but also fit on datto 1600s, sigma etc. ADELAIDE ONLY
  3. why dont you just use those fat spacers that bolt onto your hubs called "blocks" i think?? you can then run a silvia/180sx offset and stud pattern...
  4. FOR suuuure, yea i will run the cat on the streets as i will only take it out to get "high" off the fumes.......
  5. i have heard that replacing the cat converter with a pipe or even gutting it will give better spool up because of less restriction.... (most ppl know this) about 4 years ago when i had an r31 non turbo a guy at an exhaust shop told me that if i removed it my engine would blow up!! I know this is ludacris but are there any side affects of removing the cat??? i ask this, because my old n/a r31 ran like a pig without the cat (maybe not enough backpressure)
  6. maybe he has a cheap as boost guage like me
  7. nice one 32-gts, i was told bout the later model turbos but i dont know how to identify them, and i didnt know what years they were made... Yea i was surprised at actually how small the compressor wheel was when i took the intake piping off to have a look...!! didnt measure it but looks hell of a lot smaller than a standard t25 off an sr20..
  8. yea but it starts to drop off at 4,000 ffs... if it could rev to 10,000 it would have no boost at all by then.... i wonder if its the wastegate actuator????
  9. "Put an exhaust on it!! My car has had 3" the whole time i've had and never had the boost drop off. The R32 turbo is much better to drive as it spools up a lot sooner." yea thats what i was wonderin... i do have a 3" mandrel zaust, but i still loose heaps of boost up top
  10. sweet, yea i heard that 32motors were ball bearing type, and the r31 turbos were bush type... thanx for the reply doods
  11. same probs.. all r31s do it just get biltziens i wonder whether you can get pinapples for the rear cradles just like on 32s...?
  12. RB20 -red top engine with silver top turbo... just wondering if anyone has done this mod, and wondering if it is worthwhile... ???? because i can get one real cheap. My turbo is in perfect nic, it just looses 4psi by the time it hits 6,000rpm (maybe this is a wastegate prb?) i was told that stock RB20 silver top turbos will hold their boost until about 6,000rpm....true????
  13. you just wanted to show off your pretty engine bay, didnt you r31 skyline chick?......
  14. oh, as i recall you may have to shorten the RUBBER piping from the airflow meter (its under a foot long with hose clamps each end, sort of "s" shaped i think) and also make up a bracket to hold the pod filter in place......
  15. That wierd thingy joined to the airbox with the flap is your air flow meter. This is very important DO NOT REMOVE IT you need to get a pod airfilter, and also an adapter that bolts on the air flow meter where it used to bolt up to the standard air box. You then mount the pod on the adaptor. hope that helps.... ps you should be able to buy adaptors for the pod filter from most places like motormate, supercheap auto, autobarn etc. they even sell blank ones where you drill the holes yourself.
  16. yea my mates s15 sileighty had no flutter/very little flutter with stock BOV, when an adjustable racepro BOV was put on, any less than 5-6psi you can hear a prolonged FLUTTER LIKE CRAZY... but with higher boost it would do the normal BOV thing. I put this down to the harder spring setup.
  17. adelaide... theres 3 i know of here
  18. naaaa gts-x 180hp ~ gts-r 220hp it has bigger cooler, exhaust manifold, turbo, suspension, exhaust etc. saw one at the same place i bought mine for $12,000
  19. r31s kickassssss
  20. yea i wanna know too.......
  21. thanx for the reply steve, how did you end up gettin around this prob. ?? any gaskets required etc??
  22. hey ppl, i have come across a turbo from an rb20 out of an r32 skyline. I was thinking about puttin it on my red top rb20motor. (i did a search but couldnt find anythin so i got impatient) If i were to fit the turbo would it be a case of bolting everything straight up? (including water, oil and intercooler piping)??
  23. WHAT?? $380 to lower your car with the same springs???!! hahah you should be able to sue people like that....
  24. i know this probably isn't relevant cos i dun have an r33 but ive put 1.5in lowered king springs in my hr31 with standard shocks. Im pretty sure they are progressive rate springs and although they have a much higher spring rate than standard, to my surprise they are almost as soft as the originals. got em on special for $250 all round from car toys. They are fine for the moment but you gotta get 4 konis or biltzienz aswell......
