  1. hmmm yea cheers!
  2. yea im using penrite 5-40w synthetic blend, went in a week ago with a new filter. The lifter(s) were REALLY loud, like it had NO oil whatso ever. but its full, and theres no leaks. I wouldnt be so worried if it was just the oil pressure guage. I plan on getting one of the Justjap gauges.. my oil return line from turbo has a kink in it, and may be restricting flow, would this cause low pressure?
  3. Hey, just put a new rb20 in my r32. Its running a HKS2530, 5500ccinj, microtech etc. was driving it hard the other night, and noticed i could hear a very loud "ticking" sound from under the bonnet. i pulled over and checkd under the bonnet, and it sounded like a lifter on the intake side. whilst idling at 1000rpm, the red oil light would come on, revs drop, then go off, and revs pick up. it would repeat this. the standard oil pressure guage also reads very low. I am pretty sure my last engine died of the same symptoms, would blocked turbo lines cause this? Anyone got any ideas?
  4. i have run everything from a 5 - 7 heat range, and used copper, platinum and iridium. 1.1 always eventually misfires on anything over 11psi. for a my old rb20, standard with r33 turbo, 14spi and cooler and zorst the bcpr6es with .8 gap never missed a beat. my new engine with bigger inj, cams and hks turbo etc. runs bcpr7es gapped to .8 and only because i read these threads. Im starting to wonder if the 6 heat range would have been sufficient, because the 7 heat range plugs foul easily with a rich start mixture on the microtech....
  5. where u located bud?
  6. i got all new studs installed with that price aswell. But i guess he has no competition in Adelaide!
  7. captain thread is the MAN!!! he has gotten mine out twice, when i broke an easy out stud extractor off in the broken stud aswell... cost a bit over a hundred $$ EACH. but i was so frustrated i had no other avenue. He has a mobile service which is very handy VOTE 1 CAPTAIN THREAD
  8. i got it in, and now the inside diameter is too small hahahahaaaaaaaaa what the hell, it actually lost 2mm in diameter. what a pain in the asssss thanks for the replies fellaz!@
  9. just wondering if i am doing this right, i have an rb20det engine that used to be auto, and is now manual. there is no bush currently in it, the wreckers took it out, so im putting a manual one in that seems to be brass, and is slightly oversize. Do i just simply "bash"it in there with a hammer? it doesnt exactly fit by just pushing it with your fingers.... any advice will help!

  21. hahaha yea thats what im talking about.... there are the good points, then there are the bad points. for everyday use its just unneccessary. some ppl get used to it, but i aint no drift bunny so im not really gonna use it to its full potential, so i actually just put mine up for sale!
