  1. no resistor pack - i thought you need that when your running GTR injectors cos theyre low impedance. these are high impedance top feed specifically for rb20 replacement, as far as im aware.........
  2. by the way they are sard 550cc for rb20 engine. what are the resistance readings meant to be? It was running fine tho, until i cracked a piston!
  3. pulled out my injectors/fuel rail today and found a bad surprise is this even the standard fuel rail? was there meant to be collars installed, and they have been blowing out under boost? can i still use them? cheers
  4. item: 5 stud 114.3 bolt on spacers 30mm with nuts. excellent cond. just dirty. $80 Radiator is a standard r32, has had flush and end tanks. reasonable condition, works fine, no leaks. $50 located in Adelaide. Cheers.
  5. im running kaaz oil in my 2way. its farkn harsh for the street, and i imagine 1.5 would only be a little better.......... but i ve heard ppl say using the right oil and it drives like a normal diff. pffft. the old 3 point turn in a narrow street will suck, and so will driving up a 10 story carpark
  6. get it on the dyno, and get your fuel pressure checked. If there is a blockage, it would have killed the fuel pump both times, with the old one and the new walboro. im pretty sure there will be a blockage. I have seen this happen before, bits of the petrol tank or lines breaking down and getting caught in the lines. it will still run, and to someone who doesnt know the car, would have no idea, but it could be down 20rwkw or so on power aswell
  7. i have read the rb25 into r32 tutorial on here, and the way it is written doesnt really make sense about the tailshaft. If i were to use the r32 gear box on the rb25 why would i need to touch the tailshaft?
  8. FOR SALE: 17 inch rims - multistud 114.3 x 4 & 5. Dunno width and offsets, at a guess id say fronts are 7.5, rears 8.5". +38 they have recently new dunlop eagle f1s 215s on the front, and even newer nobrand 235s on the rear. have a look. the front passenger has a bit of gutter rash but nothing unrepairable. Asking $700 cos of the money i just spent on rubber on these. In Adelaide. (ps. in the first pic, the fronts stick out abit cos theres 25mm spacers on) also have HKS adjustable cam gears for RB engines...$250

  10. if your gonna give it ago, dont adjust them more than 3degrees at a time. Remember to check how many increments you are actually adjusting. Most of the time they will have on there e.g. one increment is 2degrees or something. Once you adjust the exhaust cam gear, you will have to redo your base ignition timing. Most people advance inlet and retard ex. from memory..... my car was diff. tho.
  11. dont spend more than $500 on a vk commodore with a vl engine in it. my 2c, and although you may love the car, you WILL regret doing it in the future..... (but hey, if i had 20gs what i would do with it would be considered a waste by someone else) Also, once you have spent the money on it, and done everything to the old vk that you possibly can do, maybe even been defected a few times, then you want to sell and upgrade, you will struggle finding someone to buy it for more than $5000 if that. In reality, a $1500 car with $15,000 of work more often than not, doesnt compare to a $16500 car.
  12. its probably not worth it in my case then because i dont have any stock parts at all except the starter motor, alternator and powersteering pump. Was just hoping that maybe i would get away without a regency inspection. OR ---- is it only the Marion/warradale RTA inspection? in which case they only come out and check under the bonnet?
  13. hey, i am contemplating replacing my blown rb20 with an rb25. From what i have read on these forums, the conversion is pretty straight forward. I want to do this, but what would i be up against if i wanted to be legit, a regency inspection? ohhhh i hate even typing it.... can anyone offer any advice? cheers
  14. with the LT12s i was still getting over 350kms to a tank with big cams, 550cc inj, 2835 turbo, 16psi etc. etc.
  15. i run a microtech lt12s which comes with plug n play style adaptor for noobs........

  18. would it be tuned for 20psi fuel wise, and the spark is blowing out, causing a snowball effect of less boost and richer fuel ratios?
