    After speaking to insurance assessor and panel beater, I'm going to get a new Dayz front bar (they couldn't find a 2nd hand one anywhere) and panel jobbie fixed in Jan 09 so all's well. Apart from having to pay my excess ofcourse. I've told him i want the front bar back too. I wonder where he's ordering the new bar from? Wasn't aware they still made them. Hugh.. sheesh, you're not having much luck with the S1 are you?

    Well, the body panel shop had a look at the damage yesterday, looks like i'll definitely be going through my insurance company. He (body panel guy) said i'll need a new front bar and right guard. I've told him it's a Dayz front bar. Should I leave it to him to source the parts or steer him in the right direction? Any recommendations? Oh yeah, and I should be able to keep the old Dayz front bar...

    Yes! Yes I am! Thanks buddy. I reckon they'll be able to fix the front bar, so might be just front guard replacement.

    Thanks fellas. I'm so pissed off as it's just bad timing with xmas/new year coming. I think I'd be better off paying my $500 excess and getting it all fixed schmick. Front guard alone is about $300-$350 from the wreckers. Hopefully they'll be able to repair the Dayz front bar, wouldn't want to think how much that would be new! Just when you think it won't happen to you...

    Hey adam, where are you getting it done? everlast mufflers charged me $150 to get the r33 cat back modified and fitted. I had the cat replaced at the same time. took about 3 hrs.

    What are your 17's? I've got 235/45/17's on mine and am worried to upset the attessa system if i get a flat. Couldn't work out the diameter of the space saver. back on topic, sounds like a top drive, 7000k's is a long way! I'm sure the stag will hold up well.
