  1. Spotted a very nice looking maroon 33, with For Sale sign on it... oh wait, that was Sinista's while he was in the garage hooking up the light on my gauge. Nice to meet you Dan
  2. It has approx 80k on the clock. So you're saying more then likely the problem was there before, and became worse after i bought it? It's been repaired anyway, the mechanic found that the valves had been burnt as well so there was another $600 odd gone too. Hopefully I'll get some if not all back from the dealer. MAtter is with the Vic Consumer Affairs anyway.
  3. Good luck with that. Car sounds like it's a beast and a half. Been following this thread for awhile now. Am i the only one who thinks the plates read "To Ogle"??
  4. Can't wait to try this out when i have some free time!
  5. Although, having not to rev it up to get 7psi also means a lot more throttle control at the lower revs. To tell you the truth, my fuel consumption is still pretty much the same running 4/7psi, 7psi and 9psi! Maybe i just don't trash the car enough.
  6. What i don't understand is why the fuel consumption varies so much with the stags. Sorry for the hijack. Hugh, do you have an aftermarket exhaust?
  7. Nice, i did the same recently and thought about mounting a switch as well. Ended up getting the Turbotech MBC instead, now running 9/10psi. I tend to prefer using my foot to drive around off boost to save consumption. Launches a lot harder at 10psi! Got pics of your setup?
  8. Spotted Brendan's Stag at Boostworx last night (Thurs night). Also spotted his freshly lipped pipes... looking good! First thing i said to Troy was, "Is that Brendan's car?" and he said the the same about mine when you saw it! lol! Good luck with the op mate.
  9. Sorry, exhaust is on hold... just had to fix head gasket and valves. whoopee.... no exhaust for awhile now...
  10. It's the pram PLUS shopping that was the clincher here!
  11. Nice car, do you by any chance drive through Ashbrook Ave, Payneham most days?
  12. You can fit 3!
  13. Heard on the grapevine that http://www.sinergymotorsports.com.au/ are about to import a 2005 M35. Maybe they know something?
  14. Interesting, but postage would be a fair bit i'm expecting. S1 exhaust is bolt straight on my S2 i'm assuming?
  15. jeez, sorry to hear, best of luck with it. I'd always thought the Stag would escape all this Skyline thefts.
  16. Now go get one of those Turbotech boost controllers for $35 delivered and run 10psi all the time... "nicer" becomes "exciting"! :laughing-smiley-014:
  17. Sorry to start up old thread, but my S2 bonnet struts are dying a slow death and will fail shortly i think. So Nissan Maxima bonnet struts fit yeah? The mobile guy should have a pair?
  18. SOLD pending payment
  19. Forgot to add that the gauge come as is, no t piece and hose, but very easy and cheap to find both. Hose is about 3mm (internal). On the back it's just like the nipple on your plenum (if you have a RB25DET Neo). Thanks.
  20. Bought 2nd hand from forums and realised 80mm was a tad big for my liking. Paid $60 for it so for sale at $60. Can post for about $5 i think. This is a pretty good gauge, deadly accurate. EDIT: Forgot to add, it light's up at night too. Also has this funny dial thing with numbers that I've no idea what it does (see updated pic - if anyone knows what it does i'd love to know!). Oh yeah, it also has an adjustable bracket so all you need is double sided tape to mount it on the dash (i recommend sticky velcro!). Pretty much all you need to get going is vacuum hose (3mm internal, about $2 a metre) and a t-piece (if you need it, dunno how much but pretty cheap apparently). Both pretty cheap and easy to buy.
  21. Awhile ago i had a mysterious disappearing coolant from the overflow bottle issue which a radiator specialist fixed by replacing the top tank. He also diagnosed a warp head gasket. I then took it for a 2nd opinion at a reputable mechanic who do a lot of work with RB's and he did a pressure test and he also diagnosed the same, albeit he's going to charge me a lot less then the radiator joint. Still... $1600ish is bye-bye to exhaust system for awhile though.
  22. Cool, when i boost up and release the throttle it drops to about -25hg. Apparently i have a leaky head gasket, should these readings be in any way connected?
  23. Is a reading of -20 hg when the car is at idle alright? It's a RB25DET Neo S2 Stagea.
  24. Didn't think boost controllers were defectable? I contacted my insurance company to tell them i'd installed a boost gauge and manual boost controller and they were fine (i.e. i email them my intent and said in the email they better contact me if it's a problem and they never did so i assume it's alright.)
  25. Thanks for the replies guys. Now I'm trying to wire it to the lights, but only when i turn the spots on, so i can choose to have it off even with the main lights on. I tried to find the wiring under the dash/steering wheel but it all looks pretty crazy under there. Should I remove the whole steering wheel to have a look? Another option is to wire it to the old Japanese card/toll reader thingy and put a switch there to turn the boost light on and off. Don't really want it on all the time, prolly blow te bulb quick smart.
