  1. So that should be about what i get then with my 206kW Neo6 engine with just a hi flow panel filter?
  2. Doesn't matter if the chicken or egg came first when you can't afford either! I will most likely stop at an exhaust... most likely... not definitely... just most likely
  3. That sounds good too Brenden, but will be too much $$ to do straight away so they will be done over some time I think. Not really wanting to go crazy with the mods as it is after all used by the boss too, quite happy with power at the moment and an increase with an exhaust. Last tank I got 13.3l/100kms with a trip to the Barossa in there. I dumped a bottle of Nulon injector cleaner in that tank which definitely helped, compared to the last tank. Might get some Redline injector cleaner for the next tank and see how that goes. So I'm thinking it's not so bad, and this is before a proper tune too.
  4. Hi, I'm a bit of a DIY noob. This weekend I am going to flush and replace the coolant in the radiator. From what I've researched, it just a matter of undoing the bolt below the rad, undo the top cap, drain, fill up with tap water and run engine at max heat for a minute or so, repeat until tap water flushes clear. Redo nut/bolt and fill with coolant mixture. Run a bit and top up if needed. Have I missed anything? Do i need to 'bleed' the thing? Thanks!
  5. pixel8r, thanks, that makes more sense now. I will get it done so at least like you said I have a base line to work from. Thanks for all that info.
  6. Goal is definitely via the budget at the moment! Sounds like a good service and tune for now then. What cost am i looking at for o2 sensor?
  7. Is it worth the $$ considering the only 'mod' i have is a Trust Airinx GT panel filter? I was hoping a tune might/will increase fuel efficiency. Thoughts?
  8. Yeah it's definitely the wind when driving that pushes it back. Also if i slam the door. I'm not fussed about folding the mirrors away really, it's just that I hate it when I check my mirror and it's off-line. Might give it a go opening it up and giving it a little clean and grease. I've read that it's quite tricky, have to remove door panelling etc before undoing the 3 screws under the mirror. Can anyone with a little experience shed some light?
  9. Hi there, In the last couple of days i've noticed my folding mirrors don't really 'stick' very well. When I fully open, the drivers side clicks repeatedly until i flick the switch to the middle. Doesn't do it when i close them. The annoying thing is when fully open, after awhile, they turn in slightly, and i have to flick the switch to open them again. Also happens when I close the door a bit too hard. Is it the motor of some kind of gear inside?
  10. Whereabout are you? I'm looking at buying a cheap and quiet catback exhaust for my stag.
  11. Bump, make me an offer if you think $100 for 2 tyres is too much.
  12. I see, didn't even know there was such a thing available!
  13. What was the total cost?
  14. hmm... just got a stone chip on mine today. Lucky my insurance comes with 1 free windscreen replacement a year.
  15. Hey Mike, Was your climate control controlled by the screen on your old satnav unit? If so what did you do when you connected the aftermarket din unit? Cheers, N.
  16. 18500kms! that'd be like brand spanking new... looks hot!
  17. That it does... it gnaws away at you and slowly becomes an obsession...
  18. I'm pretty sure all the leather interior pics i've seen also have woodgrain. I'm like you... love the leather, but dislike woodgrain more
  19. Too easy, all done and registered. Inspector guy went straight to the windows to check if they were tinting or cut glass.
  20. Pretty sure they are 16's. The DAYZ edition and RS4S came with 17's.
  21. Not really comparing apples with apples with regards to RWD cars that are Supras, GTT's etc. Compare it to a RWD SS wagon or something (do Commowhore makes such a thing??) that also weighs 1700kgs and I'm sure it'll be much harder to pull out of a spin around a corner. edit - am I the only one thinking here 4wd's are used in WRC so they can go faster around the slippery bends? Doesn't that kinda speak for itself?
  22. Sold... I'll book in MV Automatics Blackwood and get the shift kit too.
  23. Yeah I've heard they are quiet and good. But I think they're too expensive new. Are you looking to sell yours?
  24. Looking for something free flowing but not loud. Edit - With my budget I'll be looking for something 2nd hand. Anyone got a "spare" lying around?
  25. What do RAC checks go for nowadays? I paid 180ish for my Stagea and that was a comprehensive 5 page report with compression test, paint test etc etc. Jeez that guy was picky too! It was worth it as I made sure the dealer who sold me the car fixed up ALL the minor problems before the sale.
